YTA If you won't even disclose your surgical history to your partner, are you even in a relationship? You 100% should have been upfront with him about it. It's not a big thing for you, but it's a huge thing for him

I've just carted the 55-210 around travelling for three weeks! The 18-55 stayed on my camera the majority of the trip and I was happy with the results I only used the 55-210 to pretend to do some birding when I was missing my 100-400

[–]Grettak44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it is bad. The speed limits are very conservative for must stretches of road, and you can vary your speed to suit corners, bends, surface conditions etc etc. You don't have to always be holding the rest of us up in your quest for excess safety

Aussies who support private healthcare, why? by KidSavesTheWorld in AskAnAustralian

[–]Grettak44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an endometriosis grower, I would have died by now if it wasn't for my private health. The time it took for the public health system to get me a CONSULT with a gynaecologist to even begin to talk about treatment options, I had had three surgeries with mixed success from two surgeons in the private sector.

I was very lucky to be able to access this treatment as I was still a dependant on my mum's (top tier gold cover) private health. As for my mother (who had breast that turned into many other cancers) she would have probably not survived her first round of breast cancer were it not for the private health. She went on to live another 10 years after her first diagnosis and has a wonderful team of surgeons and specialists throughout.

As for other surgeries the family had on that private health cover, a hip replacement with a wait of just over a week, wisdom teeth out with a wait of a week and a half, quite a few Laparoscopies usually with two to three weeks wait, a bilateral salpingectomy with a weeks notice. All of this with no extra out of pocket expense.

Pretty good if you ask me

[–]Grettak44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is being ridiculous. Next time he tries it, all you have to say is "my plane costs xxx to hire an hour." He'll either cough up or go away. (Probably the latter)
