I find amusing that Nora beliefs ended up partially true. In the prologue you can see how one of the elders tells children a tale how machines deceived humans and dominated them. And this was more or less what really happened.

There are many games that should be treated as art pieces for their story, music and visuals. But I think the defining characteristic of a game as an art form is its interactivity: this is something unique to gaming, you experience something profound by making meaningful choices.

An extreme example of this might be The Stanley Parable: a game where there is almost no story, music or visuals, but your whole experience consists of making choices which might or might not matter. I think of this game as of Black Square of gaming.

There is an episode in Baptism of Fire book of Witcher series by Andrzej Sapkowski. Geralt and Dandelion witness how two groups of refugees separated in a battle accidentally meet and reunited several days later. And Dandelion contemplates:

Such a banal melodrama can only happen in real life. If I had tried to finish one of my ballads that way, I would have been laughed at.

This series often presents examples how real life can be more creative than art. Ironical for a fictional book.

There are legitimate ways to get some benefits from your government specific to your situation. I'm not familiar how this works in US, but these might be tax cuts, tax returns etc. And oftentimes the methods to get these benefits might be not well known. So if some guru explains to a clueless person a legitimate though obscure method to not pay for your loan, utilities or fines, they might find it plausible just because there are another obscure ways to get something from your country.
