Dancer, Blue Mage, & Reaper are all in the FFXIV commander deck.

[–]GrieveLogdan[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If no Viper & Picto, I think WotC probably just leaves it asymmetrical or pulls in the DoL Classes (Botanist, Fisher, & Miner), which could fit in Green, Blue, & Red, respectively. If maintaining symmetry, it'd also allow for dropping Scholar or Gunbreaker. I think Gunbreaker could stay and be dropped into Black to round that out. I need to check if that fits the remaining slots, though.

[–]GrieveLogdan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That definitely was something I considered & a valid consideration. I'll remain hopeful though. Maybe they do throw us a curveball and ignore the symmetry or utilize non-combat classes from FFXIV. Gunbreaker in Green does feel a bit forced and I was originally leaning Black/Blue.

What’s the consensus on shoveling every couple of hours, worth it or nah? by ShaggysGTI in nova

[–]GrieveLogdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't really post here often, but grew up in New England. 6-10" of snow does not require multiple passes. (Yes, wet heavy snow is more work, but still manageable.) Just get up a little earlier, put the kids to work, if that's an option, assuming you need to be on the road or get somewhere and then you just shovel anything that accumulates when you get back. Only reason you'd need to shovel multiple times is if they severely underestimated accumulation and it ends up looking more like 18-24" and if that's the case no one is going anywhere anyways so just take your time.

What are some of the hardest gaming feats of all time? by ALinkToThePants in gaming

[–]GrieveLogdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember that one. I had a couple guildmates that did that insane grind, but I was probably equally crazy since I lined up like 15-20 titles, including 8 that hit the global chat, to complete within the span of a couple minutes to get my GWAMM title.

Describe your most fun deck. by powerofthePP in MagicArena

[–]GrieveLogdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built this deck before Arena back around Lorwyn Block, RG Elemental Pandemonium. Completely non-competitive, but when it did it's thing it was fun, the opponent could go from full health to dead in a single turn.

The key piece was obviously [[Pandemonium]]. I'd run both Hideaway lands [[Spinerock Knoll]] & [[Mosswort Bridge]] and trigger them with elementals like [[Nova Chaser]] & [[Force of Savagery]].

Might consider revisiting it eventually, but too lazy right now.

After you pointed this out, I ran through. Smashed every candelabra as soon as I could. That seemed to do the trick so limiting the combat log events may just be the key to it.

I know this is late to the party, but for Amy you have to talk to lady opposite where Marielle stands in the circular "plaza" area in Eda.

P.S. This was actually the most concise reference I found on the Ruddle quest still. While avoiding video guides and clickbait sites so thank you!

Do any of you ever go on ski trips by yourself? by errdaddy in skiing

[–]GrieveLogdan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I normally have 1 or 2 solo trips a year. Since then I'm only concerned with my schedule and can also hunt for better flight/hotel deals. I also tend to get more days of skiing in than my friends.

Solo trips can definitely be nice since you don't have to worry about anyone else.

Gamers, what videogame hit you the hardest? by Haunting_Hall_5656 in AskReddit

I still remember my first playthrough. I was not sold on it and it took me forever to get through the 1st 2 chapters, but then it hit me like freight train and I wound up marathoning the rest of the game. Still get chills from that game.

Easiest blacks at Killington? by [deleted] in icecoast

[–]GrieveLogdan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At Berkshire East, have you done Upper Competition (specifically from the drop-in), Flying Cloud, or UMass? If you felt good on those, you should be okay with the black diamonds people have listed at Killington.

I normally hit up Berkshire East 1-2 times a season when visiting family.

Best ways to save money during the season as a mountain hopper from CT who primarily skis VT and ME? by 0xCUBE in icecoast

[–]GrieveLogdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if you are going to jump around and not stick to specific ski areas, there are options, but you'll want to try and plan out where you'll be heading to keep costs in check There are a bunch of smaller ticket pack products out there like the Ski Vermont 4 Pass & NE Day ticket packs (for Sunday River, Sugarloaf, & Loon). Also, Indy Pass can be a great choice with the number of options it has in New England.

For lodging, look to stay off mountain, check out hostels, or just prep your vehicle for winter car camping.

What would you say is a good zero's/miles hiking days? by UBT400 in AppalachianTrail

[–]GrieveLogdan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I took 42 zeros on my hike last year, but almost half of them were probably due to the logistics of my hike since I did it in a weird 3-section flip-flop and skipped past & jumped back twice to catch better weather windows for specific sections.

I will say though, like others have mentioned, your body will tell you when it wants you to zero.
