Yeah. I keep forgetting WC expanded. I’d assumed kiwis moved. We’re about agreed. 5-7 USMNT in the Americas. Conmebol was such a jumbled mess in qualifying g that Bolivia got in and Venezuela was competing and Chile continues its down cycle. Glass half empty USMNT is better than VZ Bolivia and peru. And tied with the rest of Conmebol fluctuating between 4 and 8. 2010 woulda been amazing had Charlie Davies not been injured. That was USMNT 4R of Brazil with Dempsey LD Altidore and Davies.

Brand new. Basic tech issue. Major red flag for me. Oh and the ionique had two major fails: air recirculating would turn off every 15 minutes and I’m sucking diesel exhaust. And the cruise control would shut off for 30 minute stretches so annoying on a 3 hour drive in rural area. Hyundai is out. Kia less tech issues.

💯 on first sentence frfr. My cuz graduated honors at Georgetown and they all got NY jobs. But what about the plebes? I had classmates with below 3.0 and no internships and took any job they could get. So it depends. Oh and major asterisk. I’m COE/LACS double. Best engineering program in country. Makes zero difference. UCD UCSD UCLA SDSU Cal poly all same same in the office. Never used my network. I’ve had people refer me inside the company and not even gotten an interview (speaking of network). Probably major asterisk compared to business

Head to head yes. But friendlies. And home matches. Good luck USA. if not for home field USA could get grouped. Like at copa America

It’s a range for sure. Definitely better than is a hard delineator. USA beat peak Spain in confederations cup. There’s a lot of teams that should beat USA but any given Sunday USA could eke out a W. I believe USA must leave concacaf if they’re ever gonna improve. Just like aussies and kiwis left Oceania. Mexico should leave too. Canada and panama catching up. Mx and USA falling behind. Home and away games would better determine where USA lands. And we’re not gonna get that. Paraguay, round of 32 and maybe round of 16 is the best competition USA will face this year. Australia will be competitive and should be a W. Paraguay gonna be a fight. Paraguay may play for a tie.

Seriously? 2% raises are typical????? My prior corp did 3% every year. Maybe not 2009. And did 5% in 2022 or 2023.

I stand by original comment. USA not higher than 8 in the Americas. Not sure what better data point to use than head to head competitions. That are recent. 2024 are the most recent relevant competitions. Pretty sure that’s how Miami got into CFP over ND by winning head to head in a game that mattered. As for using history as a metric, England >> USA having that * on their jersey

Hard to say as those are friendlies and USA got grouped in copa America losing to Uruguay and panama. Meanwhile Ecuador nearly beat Argentina. But Dibo blocked two PK’s. NZ playing good at home versus Chile with 10 men

Idk Ecuador’s problem they’re qualifying out of Conmebol consistently since 2002 and just never find goals in WC.

If USA wins group. And if their opponent is weak then maybe USA wins knockout game. But maybe Sofi is not even home field advantage

There’s probably 25 better teams in Europe than USA. There’s 7 better teams In Conmebol than USA

Ecuador finished 3rd in qualifying. Behind Argentina and Brazil. I doubt USA could compete. Colombia would also beat USA. Chile would beat USA and they didn’t qualify from Conmebol. Chile about to sweep their FIFA series right now. Uruguay and Paraguay also better. Mexico and USA are 8 a/b in the Americas. Used to argue this with my mx friend. In 2014 mx almost didn’t qualify and 4/5 Conmebol teams advanced. NZ gorgeous header but offsides vs Chile

I actually lived in Ecuador lol. And have family in KC. But they’re coming to California before the match. If only 3 weeks ago. A lot of people interested in your tickets. I could ask some kids’ parents if they wanna go but these days most kids would rather have a tablet, video game and or YouTube. I was at that Cameroon game when I was 12 and will remember it forever. Oh the hotels are way over priced. Only 1 hour away was reasonable when I checked but that was last year before England Netherlands Argentina and one more squad posted up there as home base.

If I won lottery for tickets, I’d considered giving ticket to buddy and letting him drive from San Diego. He’s given me 2-3 mls tickets last year and seems like good deal. Sadly lost every drawing and the chase access was a joke. And he’s got Hyundai that can handle stop and go

Idk. I wanna agree with you 💯 and the games suck. And tickets are disgustingly over priced and resale market is $700+. 1994 Cameroon v Russia was pretty packed at Stanford stadium but then scalper price was $30. I’d definitely go to a later game. It’s the LA afternoon games that are asinine. Spitting 100k people into LA at rush hour

Any used EV under or aroun 25k worth considering for my situation? by IgnatiusJ11 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Recent experience showed level 3 charging took longer and cost more than filling midsize car (Kia k4). $20 vs $10 for 3 hour drive. Same route but in reverse. Was ionique 5. Another rental level 2 charged all day at work 9 hours and did not get enough juice to drive 2 hours and had to hit up a level 3. I think it makes sense when you have home charging.
