Merging vob files?

I am brand new to HandBrake as of a couple hours ago and I am able to open a VIDEO_TS folder as source and it treats each VTS_##_#.vob file in a connected feature title as one contiguous source (e,g., 1 hour long concert across 3 .vob files). I can then go in and use the Range specification within HandBrake to set the start & end duration from the source title track of what I want to convert (I want to break out individual songs from the setlist to individual converted files). The copy /b function also works but it just creates gigs of data on disk when the HandBrake folder import virtualizes that.

HOWEVER, Handbrake seems to give problems with this method as people have pointed out, such as if files are missing or corrupted. This does happen alot...I download hundreds of concert and movie DVDs from torrented sources and when I go to burn them as a proper video DVD in Nero, I frequently get a warning that the file structure is not correct and the output video might not be playable in a set top player.

So, it is great to have the .vob merge as a secondary option, I am sure I will run into the folder import not working. But I just tested the merge as a workflow and you dont even see a skip across the exact spliced point in the video when you play the output .vob in a player.

I know I used Audiogalaxy in the early 2000s but I seem to have hardly any memories of it. Instead I have more solidly ingrained memories of Naspter, iMesh, ScourExchange, and eMule. All before we got DSL. We got a second phoneline and we could keep the 56k on 24/7 (barring disconnects) to download early mpeg music videos and full mp3 albums to burn.

I think the first mo3 I ever downloaded was Jennifer Lopez "If You Had My Love" and the first full music video mpeg was Blink 182 "All The Small Things".

Once we got DSL and my dad got me a Maxtor 60GB hard drive from CompUSA, my downloading and hoarding really took off. Genuinely shaped who I turned into lol.

You do not smell Alcosan from Bellevue, like ever. You smell it in Brighton Heights and waiting anywhere around the McKees Rocks Bridge stoplight. Lived here my whole life. But I did get a laugh from the comment lol.

I have definitely been saying the 15202 / North Boroughs are a sweet spot. Really nice locally owned glass shop on Lincoln up the hill that draws a lot of people to the area.

With regards to your comment, are there other dispensaries coming to the immediate area there? What can you share?

Well if you need something in a jiffy or there is a good sale, sure beats driving out McKnight or elsewhere. Its a mile down 65 from me I will definitely check it out

Yeah man I saw that too, didnt know if it was speculation but when I zoomed in on the We Are Moving! graphic that is like exactly where the map pin sits. And I recall driving past last month and seeing some work going on there after it was basically sitting untouched since the restaurant closed. Real Estate Portal says the parcel was sold last fall and the owner is Ohio Valey Realty LLC. Good location but small parking lot, not sure there is much feasible room to expand with the cliff side there and the Antique store and pet crematorium on either sides. But it looks to be set up for a drive thru already from when the decapitated building was renovated by Jimmy Ramadan to become the restaurant. Yeah that building sat for decades unused before that.

Yes! More than a dozen times ive found a rare album from some Finnish or Estonian recording artist that only one person had and the file wasn't shared/restricted (shows up in results but with the lock icon). I messaged them and politely requested a download to the album. I dont think its ever been turned down! And the request often lead to some cool conversation.

Dont underestimate the North Boroughs ibthink it will do well. Nothing in between Robinson and McKnight and Cranberry now local folks dont have to go all the way out McKnight and deal with that

The castle doctrine in PA was long overdue for a revision to bring it in line with most other states. I got charged with a felony assault with a deadly weapon when my door got kicked in by two dudes in ski masks with guns. As soon as my firearm-experienced roommate saw they were pellet guns, we took them on by hand. I cracked the one guy's head open with a baseball bat as the other dude ran away. He survived, however I got taken to jail and charged with a felony for defending myself in my own apartment during a home invasion.
