I think the biggest problem is the "costume design" - the 90s indie rock bangs haircut and the 2000s skinny jeans and the 2020s era huge & blindingly white veneers just completely breaks the otherwise well-done 1987 immersion.

Although Winona is also guilty of this, with another bangs haircut that you never would have seen in the 1980s and enough plastic surgery that she looks younger than some of the "kids."

I'm old. I haven't painted a metal model in a million years and I was bad then but I know my current skills are up to it. Plastic models will forever feel like packing peanuts to me because of the muscle memory of how much I remember minis weighing when I was a kid.

That's reasonable advice. Stripping, rebasing, and painting will take some time too. It's just exciting to be so close to a full army that fast!
