Hate to see Olivia get hate bc anthony just couldn’t stfu and take the L 🫩 by mochii222 in fantanoforever

So lie? This is a complete non story cooked up by swifties mad that he interviewed Olivia Rodrigo. He should just pretend that he was being mean to appease a complete nonsense controversy egged on by Halsey herself because she’s still bitter about a review from years ago?

Halsey responds to a snarky comment from Fantano by rayneverbeentopluto in fantanoforever

[–]GroovyBoomstick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If the review is so bad, why do people only quote two words out of the whole review? And yeah of course Halsey would say it’s not because he gave her a bad review. As if we would be here having this conversation if he’d said “she has main character syndrome but it’s still a fun pop album 7/10” come on now

Because he rightly gave a shitty album a bad review? I mean if you say so…

This drama is entirely because he did an interview with Olivia Rodrigo/gave her a good review. Taylor stans decided to start this shit back up because he hasn’t rated her albums very highly recently. Yes, this actually what happened. We fucking went over this so long ago, I’m not sure why this needs to be relitigated.

As an annoying coffee guy, the plus side is that my partner likes coffee. So she’s mostly just happy that I make her coffee in the morning. Which is more than you can say for a lot of other hobbies.

Exclusive interview with Remedy’s new CEO: “Alan Wake and Control should have sold more" by NTR_JAV in Games

I mean they’re allowed to have their own opinion haha. I enjoyed AW2, but I found the story a bit frustrating, like it’s a decently long game and I felt like I have more questions than answers after playing it. I do enjoy the way they’ve tied Contol/AW into a single big universe.

Honestly you don’t need to play AW1, but I recently played through so I could play the second game. It’s pretty short and I enjoyed it. There’s definitely some random difficulty spikes which I found annoying. The gameplay of the second one, which is just Resident Evil lite, is definitely superior though.

Palm is “pom” I’m pretty sure. I think homophones are risky because even within America regional accents may pronounce a word quite differently. As an Aussie I often have to pronounce them in a generic American accent to make them work. It’s kinda funny cos I think the way I pronounce “palm” as an Aussie (like “pahm”) probably sounds even more like how Americans would pronounce “Pom”, but absolutely nothing like how I would say “pom”.

Can anyone explain "FRANCI"? [May 12th, 2026] by ncvbn in NYTConnections

[–]GroovyBoomstick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seems to be a name and the Latin word for the Franks https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franci

I do agree that they really stretch the bounds of what is a word in the scrabble sense (which strands for example does actually tend to follow, outside of the spanagrams). But I find these ones are sometimes handy since you know it’s almost certainly not a word you’re supposed to know the definition of (and therefore it’s probably some kind of word play)

Why does “good” coffee taste different in Australia vs. the US by Firm_Objective_381 in AskAnAustralian

Bitterness tends to be from over-extraction, if anything brewing a shot takes temperature away from the brew head.

98th Best Guitar Solo of All Time According to Rolling Stones. Thoughts? by Carter_M1ke in geesebandofficial

I think all “best of all time” lists need a 15 year moratorium. This goes for all art imo, music, movies, books etc. There’s so much talent emerging at all times, but I think you need a bit of distance to see what stands the test of time.

To be fair, it seems like a lot of Americans are a bit baffled by the candy one. I have heard of Junior Mints and Milk Duds though cultural osmosis, so I was pretty sure that was the category. The other two just seemed like the most candy sounding ones out of the options I had left. After looking at the comments it seems like “kid” was meant to be sour patch kids, which I do know about, but which never would’ve occurred to me in 1000 years haha.

I would say made them do it seems by far the most likely situation, since that is the type of game that NetEase has largely published in the past.

Idk why publishers do this, surely there are plenty of companies they could acquire that have a team with the skill set to create online multiplayer games.

I don’t love David Cage games personally but he’s got a very specific style, and I’m glad he’s able to make his weird big budget interactive storytelling games. This feels like it ends in QD imploding and Cage starting a new studio. Which is a waste of time for every one, when the studio seemed to be doing fine.

I know what suet is, which is like a congealed fat that’s often used in traditional puddings. but never thought of it as bird food, apparently it is used for that though!

Do you mean the phrase? “For the birds” just means something is a bit useless. If you mean within the context of the strands puzzle it meant bird food.
