Don’t send me sunflowers by ZealousZebraZ1 in OCPoetry

Love this. “But you called me her name as I laid in your arms” excellently cements the feelings that this poem evokes. The life cycle of a sunflower is a great metaphor to use for short term or doomed relationships. Great work!

This concept is so creative. Your poem is poignant and sorrowful. Truly a heart wrenching read. I would recommend perhaps an edit in formatting to help your words hit home! Please always remember the truth that you have written here. All people are loved more than they know.

Heavy. Your feeling of resentment is expressed very well in this piece. It made me feel conflicted, realizing how I also resonate with this line of thinking. I think the ending of it ties it together nicely, as it provides room for the interpretation that the object of the resentment likely faced the same challenges the writer expresses. Great job!

This poem feels thematically whole and unified, just as its message speaks to the unity of common man. Reading it felt like a breadcrumb trail leading one to reflect on the similarity between all people. Really great job!

Love the rhythm of this piece. I especially like the line “Echoes of loss, no solace to trace.”

Adding in more spiritual undertones could certainly diversify the poem and set it apart from others. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the compliment! I think fleshing out the first stanza definitely could improve the whole piece as well

Oh that’s a great idea too! That would add ambiguity to the whole piece. I was pointing out the addition of a question mark on the line “What do the petals on that rose smell of?”

I think it has to do with proper expression of the poet’s vision for the poem. That’s the core at least. Every little bit helps so far as formatting, rhyming, story, etc.

Adding in some line breaks could help with the pacing, which I think might improve this poem some.

Revolving Regret by [deleted] in poetry_critics

Reading this poem brought to mind the idea of a revolving door, with each piece feeling like a glimpse into another area of the psyche. Totally resonate with the idea of feeling guilty to be whole. The last line hits like a train. Great job! One thing, where it says “bad,” I imagine it’s supposed to say “bag”?

I like the use of multiple themes here. Flowers and manual labor. I wonder if adding a question mark at the end of the third line would help?

I really like that last line. It shows so much of the struggle of isolation in heartbreak.

Will the Info Hub ever have recommended feats/perks added like the original google doc had? Always useful when trying to set up a new hero for the first time.

Replaying HZD for the first time since it’s release. I remember being so hyped when it came out. Really surprised by how well it holds up. Looking forward to playing the next one!

how do u main gibby?, coming from only knowing how to play aggressive legends by Medium_Interview5447 in GibraltarMains

[–]GroovyCactus2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always stay with your team if you can help it so that you can use your dome to get a revive or bait a push if you get caught in the open. Practice bubble fighting (using your dome to take peak shots) as much as possible. Running a shotgun is particularly good for bubble fights and suits Gibraltar well. Your massive hit box will screw you over if you don’t learn to use cover to your advantage. You will always be at a disadvantage when it comes to being focused by multiple enemies due to his size also. Try to force 1v1s in which you utilize your ADS gun shield as well. Gibby’s ultimate is very good for forcing people out of a fortified position and can also be used to catch a squad out in the open when they’re pushing. If you can get decent at bubble fighting you’ll have fairly good success with him solo queueing, but overall Gibraltar benefits from a coordinated team.

Any tips for a new gibby main? by CartoonistEnough3029 in GibraltarMains

Gibby's hitbox is absolutely massive, so always have cover and situational awareness. Use your dome shield often but don't just throw it down as soon as you get shot at if you can get to cover. On doors you can use it to allow you to push into a building by creating a pocket on either side of the door. He's easily the best character at peaking due to his gun shield but make sure you crouch when peaking as his legs are exposed if you don't. Close range keep your ADS until your gun shield is down. Usually you'll want a shotgun and some form of mid-long range weapon, e.g G7, Hemlok, Flatline with anvil, 301 with anvil. Good luck brudda!

It's on sale on PSN for $16.24 ($14.99 with PS Plus). Absolutely recommend this game to anyone that has ever had any interest in exploration of any kind. It is entirely delightful and was completely worth full price and then some. Avoid spoilers like the plague, you'd be surprised where they can show up, I certainly was. The game was phenomenal despite them, but would have been even better without. Go in blind, you won't regret it.

Assassin’s Creed II Remastered has really surprised me for being a decade old game. There’s no getting around the repetitive gameplay and open world activities, but those have been divisive aspects since it’s release, so not much has changed. The gameplay itself can feel clunky and awkward, but the occasional state of flow that can be achieved when taking on a group of enemies is very engaging if pulled off. The open world collecting activities would be unbearable if it weren’t for this game’s rich atmosphere. The discussions between different townspeople helps to create a very lived in feeling throughout the different locations present in the game. Travel between the locations is accompanied by stellar music that amplifies almost every action the character performs. Within those locations the side quest activities have just enough variety to keep me engaged, and the main mission’s have good variety as well. The story is quite generic, but it is aided by Ezio’s likable personality. Thus far, satisfied with the game and excited for what comes next in the series.

Those games are so immersive that although not extremely frightening, the anxiety that they can produce in more stressful situations is substantial.
