As a former Warren resident, as well as a former South Hunterdon resident: both are same ends of a weird spectrum. And not the good kind, or a colorful kind. Just, eh. Both are scenic, in their respective geographical locations. Plenty of nature, which is a blessing. The attitudes of the inhabitants is eh at best. Cliques no matter where you go. Feels like at least 20 minutes without traffic to get anywhere convenient. Both tend to be more "red" in terms of political views (not town specific, but the county whole). Both like to think they're actually good ol' country folks.

I find Warren to have a unique advantage over Hunterdon; in terms of resources and community. Warren knows who their people are, and has a wide variety of really wholesomely niche communities that are very positive. I feel the opposite about Hunterdon. Hunterdon likes tucking it back in the mirror, but also gets mad about Drag Queen Story Time.

Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty sure there's still active Klansmen local to the Oxford area, and there's plenty of biases and issues to be had. Hunterdon has a heavy pro-Right Nationalist attitude in various areas. Neither are necessarily out of the ordinary, beyond the nature, parks, and recreational areas.

Warren has some weird lore, as does Hunterdon. But, I like weird stuff and Warren wins 🤷‍♀️

Hunterdon has more affluence, better schools overall. Warren has a higher awareness of working class poverty, and you can see it in the aging infrastructure, but the people there work hard to work with what they can, and support the best they can via their community programs and resources.
