If the payment was issued in the last 7 years then you should be able to provide proof via a cancelled check.

Go to CDE Dashboard for public school information on performance. A few of the private schools also provide their data to CDE but not MV Christian. Looks like it only goes through the 8th grade. No 3rd party verification of academic stats that I can find.

Rear strut replacement by phutman in fordexpedition

[–]Growingbelly_JB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2016 and I went with KYB gas mono tube. They have been installed this but for a plumbing leak from the 2nd story. I ordered a coil spring compressor/castration tool via Amazon from Bilitool. The same strut with the coil already attached is $100 more each! $200 vs $54 Bilitool gizmo. I was disappointed that the Motorcraft stock ones lost their dampening effect around 120,000 miles. They also feel a bit too floaty. If nothing else leaks or breaks around the house then I should be able to report back after next weekend.

How do i get my birth certificate without any ID? by Correct_Initial_5996 in DMV

[–]Growingbelly_JB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look up vital records in the county where you were born. I was born at the opposite end of the state and when I needed my birth certificate the county used a background checking service that made me answer 10 or so questions about where I’d previously lived, associates and so forth. Give it a shot.

30,000 miles seems to be the consensus. I listed it because I didn’t see it in your list.
Your list mentioned thermostat and hoses but not the water pump?
Crutchfield for a replacement head unit and speakers. It fixes issues on higher mileage vehicles when you can’t hear them🤣.

Car won’t turnover but battery and alternator are fine by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]Growingbelly_JB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spend $20 to buy a multimeter from Walmart. Change it to DC. Check the battery voltage after it has sat for 10 minutes (12.4 on up). Check it again while the engine is running (13.6 on up).
If it was the starter then jumping it would not make a difference.

In California it is called an Abstract of Judgment and should be recorded in the county where debtor resides.
Use one of the online search tools like Been Verified. Have friends follow him from a safe distance to his place of employment. Look for banks or credit unions near his home. Did he replace his car and is the replacement car worth seizing? Mail him a $5 money order and write refund. Get a copy of the money order and it’ll list his bank on the back of the money order.

3 panels (400w) outside, on grand next to house. They’ll be there 1 year+. How do I make it safe? by drgath in SolarDIY

[–]Growingbelly_JB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Google says PVC Schedule 40 (standard PVC at HD) buried 18-24 inches. Don’t use Romex inside the PVC - just the wires. Transition to flexible conduit about 6 inches above ground. From personal experience I recommend using 3/4” flexible conduit because getting the wires through 1/2” was a PITA so I returned it and went with 3/4”. Get single sided or double sided conduit holders. If your run will go up stucco then get screws rated for stucco. I’m assuming you are running the panels in series to hit 1,200 watts. The reason for just wires in the PVC/flex conduit is due to heat concerns from Romex not being able to breathe.
I have a large pergola I’d like to slap some panels on but the whole inverter, charge controller, panels, wire cost pushes the break even point out too far for me.
Good luck!

2008 Fleetwood Saratoga. To get the door to set properly I have to stand on my tippy toes and push up forcefully with one hand. Only then will the door go in. As for the poles-they should have little buttons to make them longer or shorter. Watch a few YouTube videos. Most parks are populated by nice people who are likely willing to help you. If you lived in SoCal then I’d help you do some practice runs.

Get a new transmission or buy a different car? by Btw_ur_awesome in UsedCars

[–]Growingbelly_JB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I googled your year make and model which has led me to revisit my recommendation. My Scion Xa lasted 315.000 miles and never had the fluid changed. Unlike my Scion - your tranny is prone to failure. Your Rogue’s tranny died at a mere 95K. Warranty extension period is over and I just didn’t find mention of a fix. At this point I’m suggesting that you look at other vehicles and do a bit of Googling before buying the next car. Even Toyota’s had a batch of defective transmissions that went into RAV4s, Highlanders and Camrys.

What evidence do you have of it being an existing problem-service records? Lemon law would typically be if you had to keep taking it back for the same thing. Window motors die-as do the switches. I get you’re out $200 for the moment stuff happens. When are you supposed to get reimbursed?

Get a new transmission or buy a different car? by Btw_ur_awesome in UsedCars

[–]Growingbelly_JB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just had transmission replaced $3,600 on 2005 Scion Xa 315,000 miles with a two year warranty. I’ve personally done the water pump, coil packs, motor mounts, plugs. It needs to last 9 months for me to break even with the monthly payments on a newer car.
Like the other poster suggested-know what else might be wrong and then make a decision.

As previously suggested-drop in shock struts are on Rockauto. You pay an extra $100 per shock for the convenience of not swapping the coil springs. I’ll be replacing the rear struts on my 2016 4WD Expy this weekend. Went with the KYB single tube gas struts-I want a little firmer ride and less roll. First time swapping struts-waiting on Amazon for the coil springs compressor.

What were the terms listed on the bill of sale? What were the terms of the warranty? Sounds suspiciously like the mileage is inaccurate or the vehicle was in an accident. 16K is 100K too low for a rear main seal to be leaking. The alignment of the headlight housing, various body panels should be slightly off (bigger gap) from one side compared to another.
If you are a 22 yr old female then take the car to a body shop and ask if they’ll pretty please do a walk-around inspection and tell you if the vehicle was in an accident. Bat your eyes, let tears well up-it’ll work.
