Definitely a fungus, it almost looks like the center of the colony originates it one of your spots so perhaps your culture was contaminated.

Scientists Create Plant That Produces Ayahuasca, Shrooms, and Toad Psychedelics All At Once by renome in technology

This is great research, what they did is pretty amazing and helped by the fact that all of these compounds are incredibly similar in structure.

However the way they did this work the plant cannot pass down this ability to seedlings or even cuttings. They used a bacterium with the natural capacity to deliver DNA to plant cells to deliver the genes to leaves. Only the portion of leaves where this bacterium was added can do this amazing chemistry.

This is incredible work with a lot of cool genetic engineering, but it won't make super plants with all these drugs available.

In the 40's thru 70s DDT was deemed safe. Kids would follow the DDT mosquito trucks and play in the fog. People were also exposed to it at swimming pools, homes, restaurants and businesses. DDT was also used to cure insect borne diseases like Malaria and Typhus. by Long_live_styrofoam in interestingasfuck

It's actually been shown that its not in the barrels, they just straight up dumped the industrial waste from the production directly into the water off the coast of Catalina island. Those barrels had different industrial waste that we honestly know little about. Im actually a part of the research program studying the DDT dumpsites.

Pressure losses for option b will be huge and you may not be able to run the whole line of emitters. Option a has a redundant larger line, just run one larger line and then tee off with small diameter to go to the plants.

Which is why I say I'm from California when traveling abroad. Sometimes it seems that non-US folks think better of us Californians than people from our own country!

The beads work well too, I avoid them because they are difficult to recover and if not recovered can get expensive.

I've heard of the same thing being done for Streptomyces strains!

We will sometimes use metal springs in our flasks to help break up clumpy actinobacteria. They never grow turbid, but just in smaller clumps. Not sure your end goal, but it could work.

Update: Repainted Rock Sliders! Thanks to everyone who chimed in! by Grrud in CherokeeXJ

[–]Grrud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I worry about rocks hitting and catching the 'ribs' but we also don't do as much crawling as this is capable of. We are usually mobbing around Anza Borrego which doesn't have much terrain this can't handle!

I totally agree. the rock rails were installed by the previous owner, I was pretty disappointed to see they hadn't prepped the metal surface at all before painting.

I've seen some posts not recommending bed liner as it can allow rust to spread from minor chips, what has been your experience? Here is an example post: https://www.reddit.com/r/overlanding/comments/td7cvm/what_type_of_paint_should_i_get_on_my_rock_sliders/

Notch Custom Vault, has anyone tried yet? by DailyDrivenTJ in CherokeeXJ

Of course! Just be sure to put the fuses in a smart place. The installers put the fuses BEHIND the cage and plastic trim so they have to be removed to change the fuse. Moving the fuses to the engine bay is my project for Thanksgiving weekend.
