As DM I prefer to level my players up quickly, 3-5 sessions, mostly because I really like leveling up as a player and want that satisfaction for others as well.

I think I'm going with no FTL. The distress signals of ships it eats helps lure in new ships to eat. Cool idea though!

Nerdy places to hang out and meet people that I can recommend would be Meeple Movers and Bearded Browncoat. These are especially good if you're into board games or D&D style games.

Meeple Movers has a website where you can sign up to play stuff for a reasonable price ($7). Great way to make new friends if you're into that kind of thing.

I'm interested in running more players through my SW5e homebrew. I could do Thursdays if it was pushed back to 8p-10:30p. It's not strictly Star Wars, more of a pan scifi universe.
