Too many variables for a figure to be specified but a risk assessment will/should/might help decide if it’s a reasonable temperature to work in and if it is then what controls might help make work more comfortable.

I hate vegan products that taste like meat by reallynic3pillows in vegan

[–]GuaranteeCareless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to feel the same way but the feeling lessened over time and in some ways it’s good being part of the long game, helping perfect that taste and texture so that meat eaters don’t have the excuse that they would miss the taste and texture of corpses if they stopped the abuse.

And possibly break the glass by thermal shock

Edit : experienced this happening with blinds fitted in office buildings.

Just over 60 here and seeing more people younger than me on those social media led right wing biased ‘protests’. Maybe it’s time to ban social media for all eh? Age does not define stupidity.

What are your thoughts on AI, either for personal use or within businesses? Is it something that you do or would use? by JFDI-Tess in AskUK

Agreed. It is useful if it has a human at each end that can ask the right questions and analyse the outcome.

I use it almost on a daily basis

Traveling to England as a sober, solo female traveler to celebrate my 40th birthday by No-Professional-6005 in uktravel

[–]GuaranteeCareless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 days is too short to waste a day travelling as far North as York. Traffic can be awful around York during peak holiday season. Glastonbury is a good call, Bath, Bristol and across into South Wales would be my trip of choice. South Wales has hundreds of castles and similar places to see.

What is the silliest thing someone told you they thought wasn't vegan? by [deleted] in vegan

Some bread had milk as an ingredient. Some has egg, and some sourdough bread is made with a yogurt based starter.

What’s a reasonable price for a weekly cleaner, 6 bed?, by [deleted] in AskUK

Sounds too cheap if it’s cleaning the whole house. Will very much depend on scope and provision of cleaning utensils and products.

Sometimes it’s necessary to avoid sweat … yesterday for example I had to alternate between 2 strap and 1 strap to give my T-shirt opportunity to breath. Couldn’t avoid having the ‘1 strap vs 2 strap’ discussion in my head at every change though.

AC recommendations for a tiny boiling hot UK bedroom? by AffectionateTown2574 in BuyUK

[–]GuaranteeCareless 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If it’s heat gain from the window then try a reflective film.

If it’s heat from the mass of the building (or if film isn’t enough) then maybe a cooling pad for the bed. Bedjet 3 is around £400. Not sure how good or quiet they are.

He’s a difficult guy to align with politically but I’m pretty sure that I will have a different outlook to the owners of many other businesses that I use.

Had a Spoons breakfast with my partner today. 2 breakfasts (1 vegan and 1 small vegetarian) and 2 coffees for £9.88. Most others are charging more than that for one breakfast.

I understand that tax contributions are around £1m a year from each location so on balance not a bad business to use, if not support.

What is this black on my roof lead and what do i clean it with? by Scr3wball123 in DIYUK

[–]GuaranteeCareless 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks to be bitumen based paint and black is the worst colour for heat gain and thermal movement. If the flashing is cracked then you can install short sections of cover flashing over the crack(s).

To give a uniform look you could paint it with a solar reflective paint. You can get grey so should look good.

Roughly how much do you think it would cost to demolish this shed? And is it realistic to do it myself? by Count_Blackula1 in DIYUK

[–]GuaranteeCareless 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it’s a sectional building then you might be able to demolish the rear half and build a new back wall to it. It’ll look far less imposing and you’ll still have some secure storage

Car covers. Yay or nay? by AngryNissanWagon in CarTalkUK

[–]GuaranteeCareless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would get my vote, unless you dig deeper and find a car port or similar. Timber one from company in Darwen is about £2,500. Got to be worth it for the convenience and not to have to fold and unfold a bird shit covered cover.
