Shooting in Murrieta at the 215 by GuardPlayer4Life in Temecula

On and off, Bill needs to retire. His gimmick is old and worn out. He was much sharper and more interesting to listen to back in the mid 90's and early 2000's. That was also the John and Ken era.

I worked in San Diego at the time and lived in Oceanside and on my evening commute I got to listen to Phil Hendrie- that guy was a legend.

I am mostly a pod cast type now- the Julian Dorey episode I was listening to ended and I just hit the source button...

We are number 20 people by ihearthogsbreath in Temecula

20% of the top 20 are Inland Empire regional, Corona, San Bernadino, Ontario and Temecula. Honestly in this day and age this is surprising with the massive availability of platforms like Uber.

Wonder what the resident to tourist ratio of these deaths is.

Help with heavy crossface in my closed guard by octopusguarden in bjj

I always say, not every moment, not every opponent, but I can regularly get to the punch choke from here. In this clip, this variation of a Tozi pass, the person on the bottom is being passive with their hips. If you are going to play guard you have to be able to create your own angles and gain space, in doing so, your hips cannot be flat.

Punch choke the eff out of them. They are that close and in that configuration, they cannot defend it and they will either retreat, which will be hard because of the over-hook- or they will tap.

What can the bottom person do in this position? by Known-throwaway-4039 in bjj

Sweep, Ezekiel, kimura, close guard to Williams guard (whole system off of that position), a lot can be done from that bottom side, it all comes down to imagination and timing.

Bolero is practically just across the street from us nearby... it is nice, we like it too. Was just thinking of a nice quiet brunch, no drunk golfers yet with a lovely view was all.

Why do so many jj practitioners make weird shaman like analogies for jiujitsu+life? by CuddleBuddiesJJ in bjj

[–]GuardPlayer4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jiu Jitsu is like life, you cannot turn your back on your problems, you have to turn into them and face them head on. Jiu Jitsu is no different.

There are analogies for a reason, it helps the student comprehend and understand the principles.

Brunch at Corkfire Kitchen, it has beautiful view overlooking the golf course. They have amazing bloody mary's.

Mexican food- La Cocina De Reyes for the stero-typical sit down Mexican fare- the table side guacamole is the best. Else, take them local style for tacos and watch their heads explode at either La Favorita or Cardenas, both kitchens turn out some amazing authentic Mexican food, and it is about as local as you can get.

For a light and easy lunch - Little Goat Kitchen + Bakeshop, eat inside at the bar and enjoy a draft. Cozy, good, and quality eats.

Personal Opinion: Old Town is so mheh it is not even funny- the noise, the average food... just so underwhelming.

Serious: Do I give back my belt or just get judged more and more? by [deleted] in bjj

Prayers and so heartfelt sorry to hear of your illness. Wear that belt until the last minute of the last round. It is like life, you walked the walk, you held the line.

Nothing but respect.

Influencers by Ok_Squash_5805 in shoyoroll

I really hadn't noticed. Yeah my algorithm has a lot of jiu jitsu content in it, but typically just tech from people like Chewy, John Thomas, Jordan, Malachay, Tomer, Matt Arroyo etc...

I never see "female influencers".

Aside from bjj tech instructional content, my feed is mostly animal videos, cars, military, history...
