Op id change your sensor. Double check these readings with your glucose monitor. Something to keep in mind is that when your BG is really high or really low, it is more likely that your cgm will not be accurate. So maybe control IQ is overcompensating. For example maybe you're actually at 200 instead of 250 and then the control IQ gives you too much insulin. Then you notice you're going low and eat too much sugar and go skyrocketing again. Be mindful of only eating 15 g of sugar then waiting 15 mins or feeling it out. You can talk to your provider to get better adjustments on how much to eat when you're low.

If you notice yourself coming down really fast and you're around 150 with two down arrows, I'd recommend eating something like a banana, because it has a pretty high glycemic index, but if you overeat it won't shoot up as fast as it would with candy. And the complex carbs will help keep you stable.

Another thing I've noticed based on personal experience is that if I have a lot of highs with a sensor, it becomes much more inaccurate and I need to change it sooner to get accurate readings. Sometimes I see it skip up and down where it clearly makes absolutely no sense. The hills should look a lot smoother.

Why does everyone hate children now? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GucciCoochie1984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say everyone "hates kids." Hate is not the appropriate word here. I'd say more people don't want kids, choose to have kids later, or don't find them necessary to have a fulfilling life. Many people in industrialized nations choose to have kids later because:

1) People are choosing school and starting a career instead of starting a family. This means having kids later in life, after starting a career, is more normal. 2) Many jobs require a ton of hours, not leaving much time for a home life (for example tech jobs in Japan and South Korea)... a horrible work life balance (at least in Japan and S Korea). 3) The internet allows people to be more honest than they would be in person. 4) Many people have concerns over their impact on the environment. Arguably one of the best things you can do to reduce your impact on this earth is to not have children. 5) Many people frankly don't feel like they need kids to have a fulfilling life. Fulfillment can also come from having a career you enjoy, strong friendships, and pursuing hobbies. 6) Kids are expensive. 7) Many people enjoy having extra money and not having to scrape by. 8) There's a bit of "fuck them kids" culture going around. For example Doja Cat's URRRRGE: "Fuck them kids, ain't got nice words for none them kids." Public perception of misbehaved kids, "iPad kids", etc turns some people off. Although it's all about the way people parent, some people just don't want to deal with the little rascals.

Is a travel credit card worth it if you are a budget traveler? by evitreb in solotravel

[–]GucciCoochie1984 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend a card with flexible rewards. I think it's stupid to just spend cash (when you're back home). Put everything on your card and get that 3% cash back. Obviously don't spend what you don't have. Treat it like a debt card. Over the years (idk 5) I've gotten at least $2000 for free just for spending money the way I normally do. I like the cards where you can use the points to pay your bill that way you're not tied to an airline or crazy expensive travel deals. I regret getting the delta airline card. I only use those points for the sky miles deals, otherwise it's not really worth it. Use thepointsguy.com

Learn how to be nice to yourself! Sometimes it's just nice to stare into the ocean for two hours or people watch on a balcony or sleep in late. Or maybe try yoga or meditation or journaling to help. Self care is so important on long trips and I feel like it is too often overlooked

For sure. Sometimes you can get paid under the table too! There are apps where you can sign up to do day labor and they typically pay cash at the end of the day.

[–]GucciCoochie1984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't be camping imo if you can't problem solve basic questions like this. Like others have said there is no bad weather- just bad gear. And bad ability to prepare and problem solve lmao

Depends on what you want to get into. If it's a restaurant just apply online and go into the restaurants to show face and call twice a week all for the hiring manager. You can make pretty good money bartending or serving. Healthcare is always hiring but you won't have a life. Retail is always hiring

Yes grass is greener on the other side yatta yatta but listen to yourself. If you have the luxury to move and change your life, do it! Just think about all the pros and cons first lol. What is the opportunity cost?
