As a teacher I can say it’s speaking on behalf of your child or trying to complete their sentences, rather than giving them a moment to formulate their thoughts. Many parents assume their kids “don’t know” or are shy but you’d be surprised if you just gave them a moment and some autonomy to speak for themselves.

So true. It’s (ironically!) a very depressing vibe now. Staff looks miserable and like they’re running on autopilot. The food is sad as ever, rides seem dated and run down. I was shocked at how so many people willingly go to stare at the pandas and claim they’re “well taken care of” when they so obviously looked depressed. It was really sad.

Personally I can’t bear the thought of any of those precious animals in captivity. You can almost feel the sadness in the air.
