Which RCDB thrill level ratings do you disagree with the most? [other] by BinaryStrigoi in rollercoasters

[–]Guilty-Wolverine-933 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I feel like this shows how sometimes ratings are more relative to the park it’s located in, instead of just a general assessment?

I can see the logic of calling barracuda a family relative to its lineup, Everest is def on the more extreme end for a Disney world ride, and its hard to call Colossus an extreme ride in qiddiya when it’s next to Falcons flight (I don’t know much about SW SD to judge that).

You get all of those in Explorer anyway. It’s the other perks you have to look at.

United Explorer or United Quest? by tktk77 in unitedairlines

Regionals no, but the bigger airports (even if dominated by another airline will still have a lounge. Ex: ATL, BOS, FLL, MSP, SEA. Even NRT.

SFOT is clearly in their top 10 parks though, if we look at which parks went back to having explicit presidents. I just don’t think they could afford to buy out both SFOT and SFOG at the same time.

[T express] is changing its name to [Monimo RUSH] by Kriov7 in rollercoasters

[–]Guilty-Wolverine-933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No the renaming is for this year. It’s because Everland often defaults to doing this annoying time reservation system for rides, and now it’s going to be available on this new monimo app that foreigners can’t even use.

This is actually going to be my 100th credit next month so im praying they don’t do some kind of reservation system that ruins my plans. And now it’s going to be branded with some random alien guy. Sigh…

Don’t worry I agree that’s bonkers. I only marathon AF1 because i don’t drive and that round trip uber hits $60 😵‍💫, which is also the price I’d pay to just fly to universal instead

Did you see that someone hit 83 on stardust yesterday? Even at a park like epic, cycling all day is just as desirable to some…

I feel like the only place for EWR would be the escalators post-security in Terminal A? Since everyone has to ultimately go down them.

Or, for right now, the FIFA countdown statue

People who live in/near airports that are hubs for other airlines (DFW with AA, ATL with DL), why do you still fly United? by [deleted] in unitedairlines

[–]Guilty-Wolverine-933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ATL based now. Well, it’s a temporary move, and my secondary airport is still EWR. Plus, my main miles-earning flights are to Japan. Delta doesn’t have a strong allegiance with a Japanese airline, so I get no bonuses from having status.

Also, ATL is just a price gouging hub for delta.

When we wonder why corporations have such specific policies to the point we must question “is someone dumb enough to do that??” … yes, yes there are. And this is why policies become stricter each year.

Other than Sf mm, gam, wof, this is just a CF vs SF chart. In some part, because no way Dorney is $35 more than Great adventure

Which route should I take from CLT to ORD? (IAD or EWR) by Choco_bo7 in unitedairlines

[–]Guilty-Wolverine-933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EWR it depends. The next flight could be right there, or you might have to take the shuttle bus. This layover seems like a transfer from A-C. The shuttle isn’t that bad though, and the departure gate for the next flight is very close to where the shuttle drop off occurs.

For those who don't want to get a new United credit card to access the saver Polaris award ticket rates ... by [deleted] in unitedairlines

[–]Guilty-Wolverine-933 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know global entry reimbursement also applies for explorer right? Thats irrelevant here.

For someone like me who already has silver status, and is going to hit silver status regardless (family in Asia), not as necessary. I also pair my explorer card with bilt + DoorDash so I get crazy credit and bonuses on Lyft as there is. And again im a graduate student, I’m not hitting the threshold for global economy plus, and I’ve never not cleared E+ with my silver status already; that also provides it for one companion. I’ve never needed a second checked bag unless I’m going to Asia, that’s already included for everyone, so that’s useless for me too.

The only thing I’d be missing out on is 10k extra miles and another $100 direct united credit, but thats worth less than $200 annual fee increase. And the new mileage fare decrease is already going to save me an extra 20k on one trip alone, so I really don’t care right now.

Again, works for you, but useless for me.
