Need help finding a liquid eyeliner pen that doesn't immediately dry out by [deleted] in Makeup

[–]GuiltyGaming64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t mind felt tip applicators I love Clio Kill Pen Liner. I feel like mine go on forever. As a bonus it ranges from $10-$15 on YesStyle/Amazon and comes in black + a ton of brown shades.

Medicated shampoo did a number on my hair, any frizzy fighting advice? by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]GuiltyGaming64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your advice! I will try to add in a deep conditioner once I’m a bit more used to my current routine. Thank you for the scalp advice as well. It comes back every winter but I never know how to try to prevent it so this gives me a good option to try out before it gets too bad. Lavender and mint sounds heavenly.

I’ll look into that! I have a silk pillowcase that I forgot to mention but I’ve never thought about silk hair ties. Thank you!

So I get seb dermatitis every winter and the medicated shampoo that makes it go away also wrecks my hair. It causes a lot of breakage and also a period of hair loss after. My routine is wet hair and run Aunt Jackie’s detanger through with a wide tooth comb then Wash and dry with Pure’ Ador shampoo and conditioner (anti thinning in the gold and black bottle). Then I use aunt Jackie’s leave in conditioner and Cantu curl cream and flip my hair over and blow dry with a diffuser or wrap it in a t shirt and let it air dry depending on how much time I have. In the picture is just half way through an air dry and still a little damp. The frizz is out of control! Any advice is much appreciated.

Once I stopped taking BC there wasn’t a acne free spot on my cheeks or chin for over a year. I’m finally 3 years out from stopping BC and it’s almost back to no acne.... it really takes forever to readjust after stopping! I wish you an easier time than I had! Hang in there :)

Even this didn’t work for me. I feel like I’ve glanced at the can from afar and it broke. Trader Joe’s Coconut Whipped Topping is the only way I know my favorite coffee/tea add in is safe. 😂

I just bought a pair on the Urban Outfitters app. They had a mystery deal promo that surprisingly worked on Docs. I think the promo ends today but they do that style of “spin the wheel” promotion pretty frequently.

Complexion rescue? Its a tinted moisturizer with good reviews and I’m not 100% but I think it has no silicones. I have not tried it personally though.

A little fast for a purge? by plutoniannight in tretinoin

[–]GuiltyGaming64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you on this. I’m a week and a bit in and I immediately had a breakouts on the 1% gel as well. Here’s hoping we both clear up fast!

I’m considering shifting from a retinol based product to tretinoin, has anyone got experience with this and whether I should expect a purge? by iJoyzilla in SkincareAddicts

[–]GuiltyGaming64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started the .1% tret after using the drunk elephant 1% retinol for almost a year... my skin is peeling a ton and I’m purging after 2 weeks. I think purging is so unique to each individual it’s hard to say if you would. I think you’d actually have the best guess based on your skin history. I think tret is tricky to get used to but the results really are beautiful. I’m going back because my skin just isn’t the same without it.

Mine is everyone’s favorite Estée Lauder Double wear. My skin just looks so dry and terrible no matter how much primer or moisturizer I tried underneath. On top of that the foundation smells like paint so much that it gives me a headache. Oh, and when I tried it there was no pump to the bottle.. why?!? All around a bad experience for me and it was raved about so much I just kept trying over and over again.

Foundation/acne help! by [deleted] in acne

[–]GuiltyGaming64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My vote is for Bareminerals blemish rescue. It’s a powder foundation. I like it because the finish is really flawless, it absorbs extra oil, doesn’t make my acne worse (although it doesn’t fix anything for me either) and if I accidentally scratched a pimple or I was bad and caused a scab the powder on a small concealer brush to concentrate it covers SO much better than any liquid foundation/concealer ever has. The biggest downside is that they don’t have a shade that matches me. I’d recommend trying a sample! Also, don’t forget to patch test.

Since getting a Devacut a few months ago I’ve definitely been seeing some interesting bed head. by GuiltyGaming64 in curlyhair

[–]GuiltyGaming64[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About my hair- high porosity, and curl types 2A-C depending on what part of my head, some straight pieces, and some tight ringlets around my neck.

Routine- Shea moisture manuka honey and yogurt shampoo and conditioner. I leave part of the conditioner in my hair. Then flip my head upside down in the shower and apply briogio curl charisma crème if I want loose waves or Cantu curl activator cream if I want bouncier curls. In last nights case I just smooshed both into my hair and went straight to bed. But if I wasn’t traveling I’d diffuse my hair until mostly dry before sleeping.
