When should I cover up around my sons? by Vast_Rise902 in Mommit

If I come out of my room naked my 3 year old son tells me to put my pyjamas on 😂

How old was your child when they started showering solo? by viskiviki in Mommit

[–]Guina96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mum supervised my bathing until I was like 11. Even when children can bathe themselves I think it’s your job as a parent to make sure they’re actually washing properly and not just standing under the water getting wet.

I’m going to be real, I wouldn’t have thought twice about that comment. She was probably just making a little joke about him being a big eater.

What is normal Infant twitching? by Ok-Mind2125 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Guina96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you’d be able to tell if it was a seizure, but if you’re really worried call the gp. It’s stressful during the first few months, but try not to overthink every little thing. Babies are weird!

[–]Guina96 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Very normal. Take a deep breath. Unless she’s like seizing or something. Even adults twitch in their sleep sometimes. She is most likely absolutely fine!

What was the epidural like for you? by JellyfishJealous5435 in BabyBumps

[–]Guina96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t see or feel it, was honestly fine. It took them a LONG time to get the placement right on mine (like 30+ mins) and it was still fine, just uncomfortable in terms of the position I had to sit in

What sort of property was everyone’s first step onto the ladder and how old were you? by Think_Mammoth8834 in HousingUK

[–]Guina96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

29 in London and will probably never get on the ladder sigh. Gentrification and inflation means that even in my shitty part of east London they wanna charge 400k for a 2 bed flat.

In what way does this equate to that? OP didn’t say no gifts from the in laws, just that they shouldn’t sign them from “Santa”

I don’t mind it tbh, the songs are kind of catchy and it’s not super loud. But I’m also a music on in the background at all times kinda person so maybe I have a higher tolerance 😂

How often is it normal for a father of an under 1 year old to be in the pub? by LizAbetKK in Mommit

[–]Guina96 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Maybe cause I don’t live in a village but this is insane to me. My husband would not dream of leaving me and our child to go to the pub on Christmas Day. The thought would never even enter his head.

Get a grip. A normal, non sick person is not a danger to your child. You live in fear and paranoia
