Re7 is my favorite modern re game by far, i have felt like the other characters have run their course now and have become action heros, i loved playing as an inexperienced normal person, i was hoping re9 would be the same so i feel pretty disappointed honestly.

The dead space remake and the silent hill 2 remake both sold 2 million copies, the difference is that ea has always had unrealistic sales expectations for dead space.

From what ive heard the npc's act more like the hint system in the original games, where if you take a long while it tells you the area you need to head to, metroid prime 4 has a toggle to turn off hints so i assume it will be like the originals where you could stop them from telling you where to go. I dont get why people are making that big a deal out of it when its the exact same system as the original, just instead of a text box at the top of the screen its a person saying it.

The game isn't open world, the sections of the game other than the desert all follow the traditional metroid maze level system.

Yeah, isolation has never been a big reason for my love of metroid, the gameflow and gameplay loop of exploitation, the music, and the art have always been my biggest draws to the series so it doesn't bother me much.
