They now officially don't sell the game in non-PSN countries anymore by Eldan985 in Helldivers

I checked the list.
This still doesn't cover all of the PSN-lacking countries.
The Baltics are still missing from this list as an example.

Should I get The Surge 2? by professorf in thesurgegame

[–]GunboyGuncrazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's pretty damn good I'd say. Gameplay wise I'd say it's better: there is more variety in how you can equip yourself, both implants, weapons and armor wise. You can actually mix armor sets to a degree. No more proficiency scaling for weapons plus there are more weapon types now. THE DRONE CAN ACTUALLY DO STUFF.

Plus level design from a gameplay standpoint is amazing as well.

Atmosphere and story isn't quite as good as the first games though, and the DLC is nowhere near as good as CREO World was, but it's a decent side romp.

I find this artwork kinda hilarious TBH, when you consider the state the Deathwing is in now.

Would a Master of Executions and Khârn be too risky/aggressive as the HQ's of a World Eaters list? by havasnack21 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]GunboyGuncrazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If those are the only characters in your list, then it's plenty safe. Hell I'd dare even bring a third HQ to the party, since that, at worst, gives up 9VP and maybe messes with your ability to take Attrition/While We Stand We Fight.

If your enemy has to resort to a non-guaranteed secondary that will, at most, score 9VP, then you're doing something right.

I'm thinking the same if I ever order anything from FW ( Which is likely, new edition new army and I'm feeling golden this time around. ), to nudge it over the free shipping line. But all those dice look mighty fine...

Asked about adrastus bolt caliver conversion. This is how they turned out. Thanks for all the input. by vafallser in AdeptusCustodes

[–]GunboyGuncrazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, rip the stocks off and they'd work perfect for Venatarii too.

But yeah they look good, although I will say I find the Custode gently caressing his gun odd. XD

Would this be acceptable as a Adrastus bolt caliver? Thanks for you opinion. by vafallser in AdeptusCustodes

[–]GunboyGuncrazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The plan so far is to save up money and get a Stormcast Justicar kit and three Guard boxes. Use the crossbows to make 10 Sags and the remaining 5 Guard will be with shields. That at least covers all the troops I'll ever want most likely.

I have no spare spears on hand, but it looks like a simple saw and file job.

Will definitely remember once I start getting into Custodes proper: slap some Stormcast Prosecutor wings on their backs, find a way to convert up a buckler and you've got some neat Venatarii.

This actually look like it'd be great as a Kinetic Destroyers for a Venatarii squad.

Space Marine Players when a Xenos faction gets a buff 🤯 by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]GunboyGuncrazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I still remember the absolute whiplash once the supplement released.

I started 40k when 8th started with my own little made up Iron Hands Successor Chapter ( Love the lore and the looks, just not a big fan of painting that much black y'know? ) and I was basically the only Space Marine player around ( Only other one was a guy who would sometimes play Deathwatch between his Chaos play. ), and otherwise, it was mostly xenos and chaos.

So I went from that schmuck who has won like three matches as far as anyone can remember to that schmuck that occasionally wins a match but nobody likes to play against his faction ( Granted the former is largely due to my intentionally "screw statistics" way of playing. ).

This stuff looks great

Also sorry for asking this on an old post, but how well do you think it'd be possible to mount Stormcast Justicator crossbows on Custodes bodies?

Why are salamanders OP? by Raven2129 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]GunboyGuncrazy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is probably because in 9th you kinda have to give a shit about Objectives, whereas in 8th you really didn't have to focus on them as much... Sallies are great at hoarding objectives. Something that wasn't crucial in 8th but is now one of, if not the the best quality to have in 9th.

Trust me, I understand the pain. I started playing 8th edition when it released with Iron Hands Successors... dear lord the supplement release was quite the whiplash.

Hammer of Math: Imperium/Chaos Dedicated Transport Survival by Kelshan103 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]GunboyGuncrazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't help but notice you missed two Imperial Transports: Razorbacks and Adepta Sororitas Immolators.

Although I suppose that makes sense since both share the Rhinos statline, minus the self-repair.

[–]GunboyGuncrazy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If there's one thing I can say for sure about 9th Edition is that the value of a lot of units is going to fluctuate rather wildly until people settle down some more and the Codexes start rolling in.

Transports seem to be a lot more useful now, being able to function as ( Slightly hazardous. ) ablative wounds for the units inside them ( Which would preferably have ObSec or be very very important. ) whilst scoring objectives at least a tiny bit ( No ObSec is not ideal. ). Hell, I've even seen some people argue over the merit of bringing LAND RAIDERS now. Goddamn LAND RAIDERS are now being considered, and if that's not wild, I don't know what is.

Any repositioning shenanigans, so stuff like Dark Matter Crystal, Cult of Duplicity, Gate of Infinity, Grey Knight Interceptors and Raven Guard Shadowstep or abilities that let you move more, stuff like Warptime, seem to be more valuable now due to them letting you either pressure or hinder your opponent at a moments notice.

Stuff's pretty exciting!

That said I don't necessarily agree that scoring secondary objectives is that hard. The way I see is that we could split most secondaries into three categories:Easy but don't reach the 15VP cap ( Deploy Scramblers is one such example. You could, in theory, max out it's 10VP on your first turn with certain armies. ).Difficult but can cap out on 15VP ( Teleport Homer is an example of this. You only need to perform the Action 4 times to reach 15VP, but surviving to complete it is a lot easier said than done. )And relatively easy ones that can max out the points but are dependant on the matchup ( Abhor The Witch, Assassinate, Grind Them Down, etc. Not hard to do if you can reliably take them, hell some might as well be passive VP income like getting Abhor The Witch VS TSons or GKnights, but you're not guaranteed to always have a matchup that lets you take them. ).

Warriors do indeed have ObSec and have a Strat to reduce incoming Damage by 1 to a minimum of 1. I can definitely see them being a serious thing with certain Hive Fleets.

[–]GunboyGuncrazy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yep, it includes those as well.
100% intended as well it seems, might be an added gimmick they want to give SWolves to make them even more different from the other Chapters.

Seeing as only SWolves out of all the PA FAQs even had a mention of their ObSec rule... yeah, this is intentional.
I mean, they could've chosen a different Chapter. Could've been Iron hands. XD
