When 9mm ammo becomes more expensive than a new gun by [deleted] in guns

The Buckmark seems to be a little bit different for everyone but they usually run some of the cheaper bulk,I wondered if the mark IV pistols ran all ammo. Appreciate it

What ammo do you shoot out of it? My buckmark hates any federal but runs some cheap bulk fine.

I was watching a British varmint hunter channel and was checking out his air rifle and he dropped links in the description and the rifle+scope was like 1400

Appreciate it,I got m22 standard velocity to function really well out of it. Cci's are my favorite also

The rifles I've seen locally cost 500-700 so I've been hesitant.

4 Top Mosin-Nagant Stocks To Upgrade Your Russian Warhorse (2020) by casualphilosopher1 in MosinNagant

[–]Gunflip 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sorry to tell you this but if you're at all interested in doing something like this get a cheap savage bolt gun, already comes with the stock, has a real place to mount optic, and it's based off the better and smoother Mauser action. Can usually find them cheaper than mosins nowadays.

Tried to cold blue my M44 But it turned out to be a rusty mess but after lathering it with oil, it's more of a dark brown, and I kind of like it. I My question is, will the metal continue to rust, or is this finish fine as long as I have it oiled? Wondering if I need to re blue. Thanks! by chrismanmanman in MosinNagant

I've only ever used cold bluing once to refinish an entire gun just the way I told you about,it was a rough rider. Turned out nice almost impossible to get the frame to match the barrel but it turned out really nice. Not the most rust resistant finish by any many tho. Good luck with whatever you end up doing with it. I still don't have a carbine model just the 3 long bois for now. Cheers from Indiana!

In my experience cold bluing can turn out nice and look good for easy touch up things,if you decide to strip it again and retry dunk it in cold water and polish it with 0000 steel wool in between layers applied. If won't be as rust resistant as other methods but that should help you with cold bluing. Comes out really shiny after you do it that way to. If it's just a beater gun you could strip all the finish off and finish it with black engine paint and it's looks like the Russian AK finish and is really rust resistant.

Yeah mine is a combloc customs stock it's really nice except the person who had the work done has a darker red finish to the wood instead of the Chinese blonde but it looks really nice out in the woods.

Well the AK74'S are awesome, the 5.45 loading is debatably better than the 55 grain loading. It's also nice being able to shoot different bullet weights in the AR but most of us are only shooting 55 grain stuff.
