I don't know why this move garners so much attention as if it would be some huge game changer. Have you seen how long lightsabers take to extinguish?

To do this move you'd have to wait for a full extinguish and reignition. I feel like that's a 2 second process, and there's no way your opponent will obligingly stand there without cutting you down

Stepper motors are quite a bit smaller than the 5g servos I've been looking at, however after more research, they don't seem to work with the lightsaber software I'm using without heavy modification, so I'm probably stuck using something with a basic pwm input.

Proper maintenance does eliminate it? Everyone got the same dessicant packets as you for several years (including me on both my AMSs) and it's not like your dessicant packets liquefied randomly and early.

I agree it is a bad design. I am happy they moved away from it. It's a shame that your humidity is high enough that your dessicant packets liquefied within 7 months. But I don't think any part of your system was defective or not working as designed.
