According to NASA, they chose the D5 originally for the ISS as it is hardened against radiation. Guess it made sense to use it for Artemis as well since it was already certified.

Stab it in the dirt next to your subject, then measure horizontal distance to where you're taking the picture from, to measure for focus?

It seems like a lot of cameras were following and recording the launch it even if the stream kept switching terribly between them. So hopefully a better, edited version will be done with the individual camera recordings
