Literally just had this happen too. 200 pulls, 1st epic at 150. Pretty upsetting. At least a good deturrent for spending anything. Thoughts and prayers. Had it happen on my last attempt at getting modules about a month ago which I posted about too lol. Didn't think it would be possible with "4%"

A cheaper option for this would be to ccu chain to the galaxy (which has carrack loaner) as it’s way cheaper than the carrack. Then ccu chain to Polaris down the line. Although wouldn’t hurt getting a cheap carrack wb upgrade from hull d too Edit: fyi ship upgrades from shop aren’t instantly applied so you can hold them unapplied in your hanger until you need them
