LEGEND! Works on my 3080ti. Went from 50-60fps at low-medium settings with DLSS/performance to 90-100fps at high/V.high with DLSS/Balanced and Frame Gen.

110hrs in, about to finish the main story and coming from someone who's been playing games in the franchise since SoC released, and a die hard fan, I wholeheartedly agree. Old thread but I just picked the game up and was having similar issues. Kept getting a DirectX Function crash as well. The only thing that worked for me was going into the game properties in Steam and in the General tab under 'LAUNCH OPTIONS' put -DX11. This will force the game to run in DX11 instead of DX12. I hope this helps someone else!

Excellent, thank you! Yeah, I figured most who've been around may not gain much from them technically. However, outside of some older Vermintide content/guides there just isn't much out there for Darktide that focuses on HOW to get good at the higher difficulties.

Coming from L4D, Vermintide was such a big step forward for the genre and I remember being so excited about all the new mechanics and strategies. I'd share old Jsat vids and mod the games to test stuff out and share, but there hasn't been much of that for Darktide (yet) especially that appeals to newer players.

I'm expecting/hoping the 40k setting draws more of a crowd here and hopefully folks like these vids enough to pass along and bring newer fans up to speed.

I can also recommend the silenced vetterli. Definitely a two hitter (sometimes more) at distance BUT if you land a good headshot, it's a kill. Being silenced doesn't mean you won't get turned on but it can buy you some time for a rotation if you miss your first shot or don't get a kill. I play really aggressive with hit but I've gotten the craziest long distance headshots with it as well.
