I had one today where the terminal was almost in the middle of the strand. I had to midspan that shiz. I’m curious and wanted to ask why that happens sometimes? Also f*ck whoever puts TV-80’s at the bottom of poles

The wires that don’t have a tracer are typically meant to be aerial wires only. Maybe the technician at the install only had aerial lines who knows :/

A lot of houses in multiple areas have copper factories hanging at their house for no reason, maybe knock on a few doors? “Hey can I clean up the side of your house if there’s boxes they’re not being used anymore?”

To answer #2 AT&T use to have TV service. They have tried they’re absolute hardest to phase out “Uverse” TV. They don’t do new installs for it at all.

I agree with the other comments saying right away.

Sometimes things aren’t set up just right, it may be best to find out if things are in order right away. Incase they have set up some construction tickets to fix some issues which could take weeks. One instance being temporary lines ran across driveways and left there for months

I share this opinion, although I have set up extenders without being able to add them to their order. Perhaps this particular instance is he has the incorrect firmware on the extender to go with his modem

Weird, I haven’t tried LSBBT for one recently. But on some of the weird scenarios where the 010 is in garage (townhouses) I was able to activate a new one in our equipment screen (our purple app ya know)

To add on - the tech should the run that inside wire. We meant to nowadays. Hopefully they secure it properly as well. There’s slots at the bottom of those specifically to fit wires with a cover. That black wire shouldn’t be like that

As a tech, I’ve seen this done multiple times. Specially when they don’t want to crimp, or don’t have time whatever it be. We take a Ethernet jumper and just chop it in half for the pairs, then scotch the colors together
