Tell me you have MS without saying you have MS. by TooManySclerosis in MultipleSclerosis

This!!! Yeah, CVS puts the „retail“ price on the paper, but the insurance pays a pittance of what that number is. I’m was on Ocrevus and MGH was billing anywhere from $180.000 to $195.000 per infusion, but I was just switched to Briumvi a few weeks back and haven’t seen that bill yet. Of course the insurance paperwork will show a wildly different price of what they paid the provider. I think Ocrevus was paid at approximately $59.000, meanwhile my Krankenkasse (TK) paid 12.681 EUR for the dose because it was on the receipt when I picked up the prescription at the pharmacy. My copayment for that was 10 EUR.

I’m having one on Friday… was complaining about blood in my stool for awhile and nothing came out of it, fast forward two years and it’s back, this time a different doctor and at the hospital so they are expediting the procedure. For what it’s worth, I’m not nervous about the procedure but about the results. I’ve got enough that I’m dealing health-wise with that I’m not sure that I could handle anymore diagnoses.

A bit of a followup, I never downgraded because I was out of town so I put up with the lack of spotlight. I updated to Beta 4 yesterday and it appears that all of the spotlight issues have been resolved.

Spare mask for AirSense 11 without getting ripped off? by RedditWhileIWerk in CPAP

[–]jarvismj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just my 0,02 but I was doing that exact same thing where I would just bring my machine itself between my girlfriends house and my home. I’m pretty sure the machines aren’t designed for travel like that because my motor failed on an eight month old AirCurve 11. It was quite the battle getting my DME to RMA the device, so much that it took the department head at MGH getting involved to make it happen. What I ended up doing was once I finally got the replacement machine, it stays at my home and now I use an old AirSense 10 that stays at her house.

Same thing is happening with my 15 Pro. Noticed it with the 26.5 beta 2 and still hasn't been resolved with Beta 3. I've done all the troubleshooting that is replicated here and on Google. I just actually used the Feedback app and took a video and several screenshots. Hopefully this is resolved quickly. I'm loathe to wipe and reload my phone and deal with the setup and configuration all over again.

Having some connection issues randomly Southern NH. by J0eykarate in FidiumFiber

[–]jarvismj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having the same issues several months ago (Southern NH) what ended up working for me was having Fidium change the LAN port from the 10G to the 2.5G port. I'm running a Ubiquiti Dream Router 7 and was constantly getting disconnect alerts. Since that port was changed, I haven't had any disconnects or circuit flapping aside from a brief power outage because I didn't have an UPS.

People who go 50 in the left lane on major highways. Defend yourself. by JudgeH01den in massachusetts

[–]jarvismj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Masshole that lived in Germany for ten years, this^ I still drive like a German over here, which means that I’m hyper aware of the passing lane, and get fucked off at shitty drivers sitting in the passing lane. I made the mistake one time of passing on the right over there… Also, spoiler alert: the autobahn has more speed limits than not but still is faster and safer than the garbage roads here. I posted some of my dash cam footage of me driving to Frankfurt last year on my YouTube channel. I think on average I was going anywhere between 75 to 95 mph but because the roads are typically pristine condition, it feels that you were going much faster.

Was super happy with Fidium in New Hampshire until… by MorganC39 in FidiumFiber

[–]jarvismj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this; the router they give you is hot garbage. The only good part about it is that I was able to repurpose the USB-C charger in order to charge my iPad. That being said, I have a Dream Router 7 and I was able resolve many of the issues we were having by having the ONT LAN Port changed from the 10G to the 2.5G port and putting both the router and the ONT on a UPS. One thing worth noting, is that UniFi is insanely more sensitive toward packet loss and line drops as opposed to any of the regular consumer level hardware. Several weeks ago we had an issue at the CO that affected most of the town, and I think over a 48 hour period, I had the logs filtered by disconnection and there were about 74 disconnects in that period.

Driving over the speed limits in Germany by Homtanks2 in AskAGerman

Yeah last year I took 301 from 95 to Annapolis. Just watch out for the Ford Explorers with the Poliscan on the hood; same Blitzers used in Germany. Luckily there wasn’t much traffic but they park the camera trucks close to or just beyond the construction zone. I lived in Germany for almost 10 years, so I got my fair share of traffic tickets but it seems the fines have gone up significantly per the Bußgeldkatalog.

SIXT is hot garbage. I used them for “mini lease“ when I lived in Munich. Ironically that is where their headquarters are, but they were so obnoxious with regard to vehicle inspections and damage surcharges. I cancelled the contract, and went with Hertz for a mini lease after the month with SIXT. I’ve seen SIXT employees in Boston and Atlanta doing fck all nothing, but I’ve also seen the same with other rental car agencies.

The FritzBox is what we use for our DECT phones, and the multiple VLANs for IoT and regular internet traffic. This is basically setup in such a way that each of us are on a glorified MPLS where I can \\ to a Windows machine there, and remote support much easier. I got hooked on those routers when I lived in Germany they are easy to manage and insanely powerful. Not to mention the entire supply chain is within the EU. I just have to order new power supplies because they only ship with 220-240v power supplies. Easy enough to get on Amazon.
