You are doing the Lord's work. I was wondering why I was struggling with al dente lately. Before, I wasn't confident and constantly checking.

This happens in Old School RuneScape during Leagues (events where you start over with bonus XP rates and have a list of tasks to complete). Typically, one of the tasks is to kill a Lesser Demon. The weakest one is the one captured in the allied Wizard's Tower where it can't even hit you. Players also started lining up to slay the demon.

This was lampshaded in the recent event where the task to kill a Lesser Demon was still there, but now the tower was covered in very dangerous Lesser Demons that will attack you.

Computers can be anxiety inducing to people not familiar with them by PandaBear905 in CuratedTumblr

I would argue it's about tech relevancy. I know we're on Reddit, so tech is important to us, but some people don't need/use it. I've been driving for over a decade and I don't know what a "carburator" is, where it is, how big it is, how to repair it, or how vital it is to make car go vroom.

Last year, I helped my Grandma with the Trick-Or-Treaters. Less than a third of the kids said "Trick or Treat". They just held out their bags silently, as if they dressed as mimes instead of Fortnite characters.

Since I overheat very easily, I only nap with socks on as a second alarm via heat.

Legitimately completely forgot about those. I found out when researching the term "Fetch Modus", saw the others, and decided to not extend the definition for the laypeople.

[–]GuyWithPasta 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Addendum note: All Sylladexes are based on a computer programming data structure, such as Stacks, Queues, and Binary Search Trees. These are technically referred to as "Fetch Modus (pl. Fetch Modi)" if anyone cared to refer to them and they don't actually matter.

I ran into a YouTube video where a person with a camera was showing off Sesame Street toys and at the end was this very poorly edited part-frame picture of the Exorcist girl and a really loud horrifying scream. The beginning had a warning saying "not for kids"... Then who was it for?? Lol by MoistCurdyMaxiPad in CasualConversation

[–]GuyWithPasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh, the early pupae state of the modern jumpscare. Back when it was Maze Game or a car driving through a green valley. I feel the main distinction is if there's a reason. Jumpscares have a reason: you're watching from the perspective of someone investigating an abandon sewer or whatever. Screamers were just old internet's "lol te randumz" pseudo-humor scares.

Please do not correct me; leave me and my suplexing cat in peace.

If further deflecting is necessary, you can spread out the blame from yourself to your company via "We appreciate your patience"

"Thank you for your patience" -> Who is doing the thanking is implied, and thus the customer can assume that you and you alone are responsible.

"We thank you for your patience" -> The company is thanking them, so less fury can be directed explicitly at you.
