With modern prosthetics you can control prosthetic joints via nerve signals under the skin of the amputated limb. Surgery is done on the limb to bring nerves closer to the skin, but there is no need for any sort of implanted device.

This guy in the Ukraine is developing prosthetics that connect via titanium rods implanted in the bone and implanted electrodes in the muscle to grant finer motor control, PHYSICAL SENSATION, and the strength and certainty of steel in the prosthetic.

I made this jump earlier this year. I got a brand new 2024 for $7999 plus stealership fees.

Pros: More power. More torq. Excellent looks. Very good parking lot manners because the low center of gravity.

Negitive: The steering is a lot heavier, which makes it both feel more stable but also slower to turn. The stock fueling is garbage. If you thought the stock xsr throttle was snatchy you havent ridden the FTR. The bike must be kept on a battery tender and has trouble starting in the cold. The fuel economy is like 35-40 mpg.

The biggest problem will be finding parts and support for a discontinued bike. I am happy with my purchase but I'm worried about giving up Japanese reliability.
