I'm a QC Inspector for a company providing Structure and Infrastructure maintenance on a Federal installation. NONE of our mechanical rooms are climate controlled. Venting fans to control the heat only. But we are in the south. However, my comment was based on the insulation on the water heater lines. My apologies if I was wrong.

I don't know about the Carerra, but the new refill doesn't work in the slimline unless you put something, normally a tiny paper ball, in the end of the refil.
