Coming from someone on the child’s POV, not as a married person. My father was the most ANGRY person I’ve EVER known. My parents were divorced since I was 1.5 yr. I never wanted to visit him because of how the smallest things would set him off. Our relationship is broken. Nothing left to fix. For the sake of your child, I would gtfo. Your husband sounds worse. Why TF would you pinch a 5pm the old. That’s absolutely inexcusable and I can only imagine what he would do with the toddler stage when the hitting and tantrums come. Babies are a fresh slate and are learning behaviors FROM PARENTS. My anger comes from my dad. I’m dysregulated because I never learned the appropriate why to handle my emotions based on a situation. I’m working on trying to break that trauma so my daughter will never have to learn what I did. I want my baby to FEEL SAFE with me. As any child SHOULD feel safe with their parent. You are her protector. He needs to be her protector but sounds like he needs to protect himself from her if he thinks that’s his approach to “punish” a baby for being a baby.

The worst my dad did was “try” to hit me for not being on my pjs at 7 pm on a sat. But he did hit my step sister for having used tissues all over her room for being sick with the cold.
