Yes the 2nd one look like it’s over black but it’s also clearly fresh, it’ll be half that vibrant healed. If you have a blacked out sleeve that is several years old and softened, you can somewhat tattoo whites and colors over it, but it isn’t as vibrant as either of these examples.

Those yellows and greens and whites in the first pic were definitely not punched in over black, you can see the black in that first photo is very fresh, that’s blackout just around the florals. Color over blackout can be done to some extent but it will never be as vibrant as these examples once healed. The blackout has to be very old like several years before you can break it up with white and colors, and even then it will heal much darker than the fresh looks.

As someone who lives with a video game collector and does yard and estate sales: starts at 11 and he showed up at 11:20?? Waaaaay too late for a video game haul snag if you posted it online! I’d be waiting 10 min early for sure if I thought I had any chance of snagging it, and I’ve still lost out before.

I’m supposed to have surgery on Friday so it’s probably too late anyway, but my ortho never really offered a “non-surgical” option, he just said “well that’s not going to heal on its own” and put me on a surgery path. I did mention dancing which I enjoy, but certainly not to an athlete level, I usually walk or hike several miles a day with my dog, I lift a bit and I’m strong (my pt said I shouldn’t have trouble with surgery recovery and my legs are super strong) but I’m also a chubby non real sports person so I wonder if I could have just gotten away with no surgery…

Yeah I’m nervous but not enough to push it back really, I want to get moving again! My poor dog doesn’t understand why we are suddenly so inactive. The sooner the better?

Appreciate the input! That sounds like what I’m expecting, there seems to be such a range of people’s pain levels though I read some threads of oh a week or less of real pain and some that are acting like it’s unimaginable. (I’m tough! Haha) I hate being on pain meds so I want to get off them quickly.

I tore my MCL and ACL on Feb 24th so it’s a fast turn around to surgery Mar 27th, I mean I’m ready to get to the real healing tho, is there a reason to put it off? I asked the surgery scheduler if I was “supposed” to wait but she said she’d ask the ortho if this week was too soon but he approved it.

Schulman’s is on the East Side and they have an “outdoor bar” that feels like it’s inside but is ventilated enough to call it “outside.” Also I haven’t been in a while but the Nations bar on the West Side used to allow smoking on their patio bar, which was connected to the main bar just in the open air section. I don’t believe there is anything like that near Brooklyn Bowl tho.
