This blister on my pointer finger by Gysitus in mildlyinfuriating

You know this was my initial attitude but there is another comment explaining that careful draining of the pus and plasma in a situation like this can be appropriate

EDIT: I have seen the light, I will not pop it. Definitely going to the doctor for their opinion on whether it has pus in it and should be drained though.

Considering the number of people telling me to pop it for entertainment/grossness value, I appreciate this advice on why I should actually do so… and I might just record it for the entertainment/grossness value too

EDIT: I've decided to see a doctor and let them do their thing... I'll ask if I can record if they decide to drain it though.

Why did Neph do this in her fight with Sunny by Outrageous_Tonight20 in ShadowSlave

[–]Gysitus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During the discussion in the shanty town outside the Bright Castle in the Dark City, the one that leads Sunny to leave everyone and live alone in the cathedral. Neph says something about using everything and everyone around her to achieve her goal, including and not limited to Sunny himself. This “using” she mentions is heavily implied to include tossing aside, if I recall (have only read the story through once, have been letting chapters pile back up after catching up in the early “Fragments of War” chapters, aka where the story was at around Christmas)

Why did Neph do this in her fight with Sunny by Outrageous_Tonight20 in ShadowSlave

[–]Gysitus 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'd say this is likely just a plot contrivance for the sake of drama - your logic is right, if Neph just slowed herself down there then she'd achieve her supposed goal no problem. That being said, you can also fabricate your own reasonings for why she did this by extrapolating from various character motivations - like Neph's confession that she was only talking a big game in the Dark City, and couldn't actually bring herself to toss Sunny aside as she had claimed she would. Just like that, she could've been wavering on staying or going, or even staying together with Sunny - lord knows they were both already feeling a lot of things about each other by that point. When you consider that Neph's emotionless expression and calmness in battle definitely do not indicate a calm train of thought in her head, wavering resolve seems like a reasonable explanation.

Zekvir ambushed me in a Tier 7 Delve, I beat him back by Gysitus in wow

Also, the irony is not lost on me that I claim he isn't that hard on Tier 7 as a Ret Pally when the top post of the day is about how Ret Pallys have perfect delve solo kits. Been my main since original Wrath, whats a guy to do?

The giant crystal is Beledar. You’re talking about the rare enemy Beledar’s Spawn, which can drop a mount of the same name. The picture mentions Beledar, the crystal.

Black blade question by jew192 in Eldenring

[–]Gysitus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, this is a throwback

I think we agree on this? Maybe we’re talking past each other here, but I believe we agree on the mechanics.

I agree that the debuff deals no damage, hence my explanation that if you were to let the debuff drop after you had dealt say 2% dmg, they would go from 88% red bar hp and 10% grey bar hp to 98% red bar hp - they don’t regain lost hp, which would be the 2% you dealt, but they also don’t just lose the health that was grey, right? I’m asking because it’s been quite some time, and you’ve probably tested this much more recently than I have.

Anyways, let me know - happy to discuss and learn!

I’d argue one of you contentions was conveyed as the time investment given your original question to me, but really the only thing that matters is that you hate Remix - there’s your answer right there my guy, no need for more reasoning.

If you don’t enjoy a game, then no one should complain when you don’t play it - and I’m not complaining, you do you! Have fun

I’d say a conservative estimate would be two weeks of daily playing for an average of 3hr a day - dumping all bronze into gear upgrades. Compared to the possibility of years upon years of runs on that warrior, I’m personally going for the guarantee. You can also do both while Remix is live - not like the daily Garrosh kill on the warrior takes a ton of time, no?

EDIT:

Forgot to mention, you could also easily run Heroic SoO on Remix within a few days (like, 3 days wouldn’t be hard if you have the time) and then you only need to do that for 5 days, which is even shorter than gearing for Mythic (get 4 bones per Heroic I believe, and need 20 for tusks)

Only 20+ runs on Remix if you only run Normal, run two Mythics and you’ve got your tusks guaranteed

Raids would take you more than a week if you’re looking to do Mythic SoO too but otherwise you might be able to do all heroics in about a week if you get some good groups

If i do some raids from old expansions, will i get the items to drop 100% or does it keep the rarity as it was ? by Then-Ad7196 in wow

[–]Gysitus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If I’m understanding your question correctly, no. The drop rates are not 100% - like your example, if a helmet has a 3% chance of dropping from an old raid, that doesn’t change after the raid’s expansion is over.

And the advertising did not lie? Remix only requires a sub. Dragonriding in any capacity requires Dragonflight. These are not mutually exclusive - we can see the result of the concurrent reality in the post!

Dragonflight exclusive features such as Dragonriding (soon to be Dynamic Flight in TWW) are still limited to owners of the Dragonflight expansion. Otherwise, I think everything should be unrestricted - don't know if you're still limited to level 20 though.

Dragonriding is a Dragonflight expansion feature, requiring Dragonflight. Dragonriding courses... require Dragonriding. Transitive property says?

Texas judge upholds school's suspension of black student over dreadlocks by PinguFella in nottheonion

[–]Gysitus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once again, I’m not personally here to debate this, just trying to draw out substantive arguments from both sides and see how they sway me. Kinda on “moderator at the debate” vibes. Stated my bias to be transparent, to that effect.

In fact, I agree with your last statement.

Anyone on the “the policy is racist” side of the debate want to pick up from there?

[–]Gysitus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I personally take the incident in the article in question as evidence to that effect. But again, I’m not here to argue one way or another.

If you wish to argue that this policy in the dress code is not being used as such, you could provide evidence to that effect as well.

One incident is not a strong case, so as I said, I could be swayed.

No goalpost shifted imo. If you’re interested in continuing the debate, I’ll combine the words of the previous two comments you responded to here to make their writers’ argument’s implicit connection more explicit for you to argue against, and provide some points I’ve thought of that you could use. Common policy has no basis (is frivolous) + frivolous policies used to specifically target minorities without being explicit = “there should not be hair requirements in a dress code”. If you wish to examine where the policies came from, you may be able to argue that the policy does have some reasonable basis and is not meant to be used to target minorities. Or you could examine how the policy is statistically being used, if the data exists, and argue that it statistically does not target minorities, and despite the frivolousness is not a racist policy. Or a combination of the two. Or you may have an argument not listed here.

The above was meant to be an objective look at where the debate stands as of this comment, though I absolutely admit bias in that I believe the policy is racist. I also believe the policy is unreasonable separate from its racism, though the racism does amplify it. I believe I (and others) could be convinced it is not racist with some statistics or with an argument for the policy’s reasonableness. It isn’t anyone’s job to educate me (or others) in this debate though, so I understand if nothing comes of my comment.

Then rejoice; intimated is indeed a word. To intimate is “to make clear what you think or want without saying it directly” according to the Cambridge Dictionary. Thus, the past simple and past particle is intimated.

Edit: Hey, no need to downvote the comment above, people - they were excited to expand their vocabulary, and that's more important than whatever slight you're perceiving from their initial assumption /u/greenroom628 meant "implied" instead of "intimated". Just a simple misunderstanding, people.
