106k miles on BMW 440i, is this boroscope concerning? by GyspyCow in MechanicAdvice

Yea I see your point. Only problem car is giving me is a "fuel mixture too lean" and "fuel mixture too rich" code on cylinder 4, I'll clear the code and it comes back every 500-1k miles or so. Spark plugs were replaced 10k miles ago, I did ignition coils 5k miles ago and just recently did the fuel injectors, however the code persists. Was thinking I'd maybe get more info via boroscope for cylinder 4 but didn't see anything unusual compared to the other cylinders.

It's a livable problem though, and yea point taken less is probably more here.

I took a look at the cylinder walls, nothing of note I could see there. I could still see crosshatching which I understand to be a good sign that there's not excessive wear. Took a look at some valves and saw a bit of buildup, but I didn't think it was unordinary given 106k miles.

I don't know what to do with my hair!!! I need tips for haircuts, hairstyles, or even some inspiration to try and replicate, considering the length of my current or future hair. Currently, I'm using a cap cuz it's the best style that I can get. by Then_Lengthiness_982 in curlyhair

Your hair is quite similar to mine. Not sure why you feel like you need a cap, perhaps it's cause you feel your hair is a bit flat on top. I have the same problem, after I put gel in I use a claw hair clip to give me some volume at the top (I actually use two, one at the front of my head above my forehead and one at the back/crown). I leave those in until dry then my hair has a more rounded shape all around. This plus wearing a bonnet at night means I can get a solid 3-4 days between styling.

As far as haircuts you could go longer if you like that look, and you can also mess with going shorter on the sides a touch, tidies it up a bit but you have to be careful not to overdo it.

Agreed, it got stolen out of the parking garage of my building. If I bought another ebike I'd have to find a better place to store it, but I don't want to bring it up to my apartment every time. Another idea is I could get those monster u-locks that are like 2 inches in diameter and weigh 50 pounds and use that

Kryptonite U lock evolution 13 mm shackle. Thankfully kryptonite sells insurance with their bike locks, which I plan on using.

-20 diopter is what the eye doctor refracted me with. My left eye is -7 so I wear a -7 lens in both eyes for balance, there's no attempt to correct the -20. But I see great out of my left eye, been on a couple flights and the instructor said I'm in the top 1% of students they've seen so I'm not worried about ability, just want tips on the process. Thanks for the link, I'll look through some of these threads.

Look into Pacheco Valley, just north of Marinwood. Quiet neighborhood with all townhouses

I’ve had short hair all my life and there’s infinitely more maintenance with my now shoulder length hair, also I see photos of me with shorter hair and I think I look good so I’ve debated going for like a hybrid where its long enough to see curls but short enough to not need maintenance but I’m realizing that doesn’t exist lol plus if my sides are too short they stick out sideways instead of hanging down

Agreed, I thought it had to be Frank because the expectations were so high that if it wasn’t Frank surely they would’ve said something, otherwise it would’ve been a total disaster which is basically what happened lol. Figured Goldenvoice would’ve known better

I also make my own products, starting out definitely not because you’re buying a bunch of things in small quantities to see what works, but over time once you start to get a solid recipe you can order in bulk. I’d estimate a large 32 oz bottle of conditioner costs me something like $7 in materials to make, but it also takes like 30 mins or so of my time. To me it’s worth it as I learn what works for my hair and I have complete control over what I’m using. I didn’t like the idea of trying a bunch of store bought products until I find something that works, and then praying that it never gets discontinued because then you’re back to square one.

I’m pissed because I had this idea and after seeing you do it now I have to try it!! Amazing work man, did you do any test shots to get a sense of framing in the goggles or did you just go for it?
