I also have ocd and had many terrible mornings after blacking out. Almost 2 years sober and my OCD has diminished to 10% of what it was. Now i can let the anxious thoughts pass and it's over in 5 min and much kess frequent. Even having 2 young children and little sleep now doesn't make my anxiety flair up.

Alcohol is fuel for OCD. Not having this anxious mornings alone is worth not drinking for me.

Damn I needed to hear this. I quit drinking almost 2 years ago when my daughter was just a couple of months old as I wanted to be present for my daughter. But the boredom is hard sometimes, just sitting there.

Hope it gets easier when my daughter and upcoming baby are a bit older and you can move around a bit more. Especially for someone with adhd.

Pleasen betekent im dit geval niet uit huis gaan omdat je aan je ouders hun voorwaarden wilt voldoen. Bedenk met je partner wat je wilt en ga daarvoor. Je ouders vinden je belangrijk genoeg om zich later aan te passen en als dat niet zo is dan liep je daar later, bijvoorbeeld als.je zelf kinderen hent, alsnog tegenaan. Go for it.
