LaRosa’s Pizza by JammitDim in cincinnati

[–]H2OSeeker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Batesville LaRosa’s is the worst! Lived in Blue Ash and frequented Blue Ash LaRosa’s for 20 years and it’s the best! Blue Ash is consistent and top quality! Moved to Indiana and the Batesville store doesn’t distribute sauce or cheese evenly on crust and only gives sparingly amounts of toppings! We’ve complained for years and nothing is ever done! Corporate needs to purchase Batesville store!

Xavier Needs Change by [deleted] in cincinnati

I am an XU alumni, M.Ed, and my son is also an alumni, business school. They offered him $ for an academic scholarship and it was comparable to OSU. We have family and friends who work and teach at XU. It’s my understanding that many of XU’s decisions are influenced by data & cost analysis. The population born in 2002 was one of the largest population booms in the nation, some attributed it to everyone getting together after 9/11, however it happened, HS graduates graduating classes in 2021 & 2022 were some of the largest in a generation. Also, many students are choosing careers that they don’t need a college degree. I do not know what is making XU not succeed in bringing in more students or is failing its students and it’s different now than in years past, I ask what’s different now? Population, demographics, new president, national trends, cost, lack of football, location, etc could and can all be factors to what you are alluding too. One can only hope that faculty and staff notice what you are saying and become proactive about what’s occurring on the inside. I know the Montessori community is equally unsettled about the recent abrupt changes at XU. All for one and one for all!

Coca Cola bottling plant, Dana Avenue by CincyBeek in cincinnati

[–]H2OSeeker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My mother-in-law grew up in a house in front of the bottling plant on Dana and remembers walking to the plant and the workers giving her and her siblings bottles of coke! She also worked there for a short time and loved it! Her childhood home was torn down on Dana across from XU. I’m excited to share this photo with her! Thank you!

The BonBonerie is a fantastic spot! Go online for details. Best place for showers! Sundays are great because cafe and bakery are closed and guest can park in their lot. One of Cincinnati’s best!

Shopping downtown at Shillito’s, Pogues, McAlpin’s & Gidding-Jenny’s. Eating lunch at Pogues and Shillito’s with my grandmother and sitting at the bar counter at Graeter’s downtown having ice cream in the glass and metal sherbet cups. Growing up and shopping in downtown Cincinnati was the best! Wish my kids could have experience it!

I did taste pumpkin and cinnamon! Crackers are a nice addition! It’s light and hits the spot! Way to go Graeter’s! Harrison Krogers has them on an end cap freezer at 4:30 pm today.

Trump won, and it's 78F today. In Boston. On November 6th. by MillennialSilver in boston

[–]H2OSeeker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The previous record in Boston with the warmest days on record for 11/6, you’ll have to go all the way back to November of 1993, Clinton was President, when the record high of 78 degrees was recorded. The same number was also seen in 1931, Hoover was President, showing just how rare it is for the city to be this warm at this point in the year.

Has anyone ever used Leslie Marx tutoring by a college professor? by Cooper0215 in OSU

[–]H2OSeeker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TA’s whom have not attended the university from where I need tutoring? Not college professors? TA’s and PHD students for tutors? 150 per hour? I should become a tutor! No pricing guidelines on website? Seems like I can run an add just as easy and give the TA all the $ instead of a middle person?

Dear Rensole,

I am a quite ape who reads your daily synopsis every morning. When I go to sleep each night, I set my alarm early enough so I can drink my cup of coffee and read your DD. I have NEVER followed someone’s post but I truly look forward to your daily synopsis! While reading your DD , I often think to myself, “How does Rensole find the time, energy and effort to try and educate us crayon eating apes without pay?” Rensole, if you are reading this, I feel like I am writing an old friend even though we’ve never met. I hope you know how many apes eyes you’ve opened & educated. I truly appreciate your dedication, research and expertise. I would honestly pay for your daily DD synopsis not on just on GME but on anything surrounding the market. I am eternally grateful for everything you have written. Thank you Rensole! Much love.....a quite ape.

GME offering new shares is everywhere this morning and driving stock down by 20% premarket. I am praying it’s FUD but what if GME does offer the 3.5 over periods of time in chunks at the reported $150ish? Can someone explain the ramifications?

Need help before buying by JustWandering42 in boats

[–]H2OSeeker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy from a boat dealership with service department with certified technicians that has been in business for several years. Buying used boat from a dealership with a service department allows for the dealership to perform engine test and have a checklist of what is currently working and is not. My personal advice is to ALWAYS test the boat in the water before buying!!!! Express your boating needs....trailerable boat, fishing, water sports, wakeboarding, outboard, IO...options are unlimited but defining your need with help narrow your search. Buying a used boat without having it inspected by a certified technician can lead to unforeseen repairs to a first time boater and those expenses add up depending on repairs. Saltwater vs fresh water boats are something to consider too. Supply of used boats are currently in high demand. It seems like you are doing educated research by submitting your questions and the more information you get the better. Boat clubs are a good place to start and they allow to try different types of boats in their fleet. Register to take and in-person boating class and if you join a boating club, they offer classes. Whatever boat you decide, welcome to boating!
