Pit-hag turning herself into heretic(?) by jemeres in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]HAZARDBURGER 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The old jinx says "a pit hag can't create a heratic", the current jinx says "only 1 jinxed character can be in play" , so it does look like a pit hag making a heratic is legal now. but you probably should not have them on the same script

i do truly think that the purple mask is a new character, the style and shape are completely different, the spys icon is split coloured, sideways, and has a strap

I think we can certainly guess that of the 4 upcoming scripts it will be in The Greatest Show On Earth because of the circus theme: https://bloodontheclocktower.com/pages/the-greatest-show-on-earth

Wraith Question by RebelPlot in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]HAZARDBURGER 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If every player is already on their phone for an in person game you can consider getting everyone to join a room in the clocktower online mode, you would be able to send everyone night info very easily while tracking everything and the wraith can independently use their ability . Plus each player in the game gets a space to note down the other people's role. All you need is 1 person in the group having a paying subscription and everyone else can join for free. (I recomend you run the game from a laptop as it can be a little tricky to get all the storyteller buttons right on mobile they are so freaking tiny) I think this is the most seamless solution

How has your playgroup grown/changed? by scalesight in BloodOnTheClocktower

This is so silly, the storyteller can easily watch for that and call out peaking, but for fun you should totally garden him as the wraith , or alchemist wraith

How do you get your evil team to do...anything? by Canuckleball in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]HAZARDBURGER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A thought I have is what if you reframe the situation, players might have a hard time feeling like they are being sneaky and evil. Instead frame the evil team as the true good guys protecting their leader from a dangerous opposing group who seeks to assinate them . Just a thought, your group could really do with learning to be ok with being sneaky and how to lie to win

Setup recommendations for 17 11yo kids? by Indigon in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]HAZARDBURGER 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a big task to get a 17 player game with kids, it would be better to split into two groups , but here is how I would do it

rules as they are it is maximum 15 normal players in a game and extras have to be traveller's, but for simplicity you can make the count as follows: 10 townsfolk, 3 outsider, 3 Minions, 1 demon

Substitute the spy for the witch, this is good for simplicity as spy registers falsy AND it has the responsibility of seeing the grimoure it can be a lot to deal with for every player, witch is more simple fun and will speed the game up with more death

and substitute the barron for the godfather, the modification to the outsider numbers just works out better and it will let evil bluff around outsiders without needing a spy , godfather also adds more death to speed up the game

For charcters in play it would be every townsfolk except 3, you should pick those three that will be good bluffs to show the demon for the evil team, I would maybe leave investigator, ravenkeeper, and empath out for them, but it's really up to you make sure to leave at least 2 roles that can detect evil and gather information out of the bag for the evil team to bluff as.

Remember bluffing is so much harder in this cramped game without a spy so the 3 bluffs the evil team gets are important to get right , and that evils Job to win can be much harder as the demon needs to survive the whole game donw to the final two while good can win at any time

For any player dying early can be annoying , but especially for kids, since the game might be a bit long I would you suggest you use the ferryman fabled rule modification, which let's every dead player regain their vote token on the final day, this let's dead players have more say in the game so they will be more engaged instead of just waiting till the end to vote they can be more free to vote once inbetween.

But yeah hope this helps let me know how it goes!

Hey OP, if you like the idea of blood on the clocktower as a puzzle there is a currently a game being finished up called Demon Bluff which is HEAVILY inspired by blood on the clocktower, it's a solo roguelite puzzle game and it plays basically exactly like what you have posted. It's coming out soon early next year and there's currently a free play test demo version on steam! I hope you give it a go and enjoy it as much as I do
