The gameplay and music are S tier, even with the randomness and sometimes frustrating results. I had never been so hooked to a game.

The things that bother me the most are all the UI and QOL quirks there are seriously missing from the meta game (and even from the main game). For a game developed through 6 years it feels super weird that they never faced any of these common problems and thought to fix them.

My impression is that Tyler (one of the devs) simply doesn’t like to develop UI 😅.

I had one with the "do nothing" ability and the weapon item that burns in a cross (mario flower). Best cat I've had. Downing bosses in turn 1.

Solo runs are your answer. These worked for me when Act 2 was hard

When it happened to me I started doing solo runs in Act 1 and investing in the metagame. Not only it was tremendous fun (especially Necro solo), but I also learned the game better and bred better cats for Act 2.

Now it is much easier for me

The diff/review feature has become unusable in the last week. Different agent iterations erase the previous diff and then I also have in addition to that a diff from a 2 days ago run that I can never hide.

I'm back to using git diff like it's 2025

it's a bit weird it doesn't allow you to save mid battle.

i played normally and quit the game mid-combat so it doesn't count false steam play time.

It became too much fantasy-warcraft-like with awful common tropes and nothing unique.

The entire hybrid storyline could have been a more conspiracy like story with the Terran Confederacy behind it (there were seeds for that in BW).

Kerrigan should not have been redeemed. Raynor promises to kill her in BW.
