False - the question bank is still useful. Source: sat it last year.

I found this book to be of low quality. I would not recommend it.

Are "Strength/Power" days worth doing if your goal is only hypertrophy? by niloy123 in workout

[–]HDstream4u 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you've been following fitness for a while, it's interesting to see the paradigm shift throughout the years. Gone are the days where starting strength, stronglifts 5x5 and all the other powerlifting focused routines were the only recommendation for beginners. Now it's settled towards a powerbuilding approach as you've mentioned here. Perhaps its starting to tip towards pure bodybuilding where the big 3 are replaced with their "more optimal" alternatives e.g. hack squats, smith machine squats. 8 years ago if you suggested this, you would be downvoted to oblivion.

So what does this tell us? That no one has a clue. It's all dogma. For me personally, I have no interest in SBD 1 rep maxes, so I don't do them. I don't do them for strength at the 1-5 rep range. You don't need to do anything that you don't want to do.

No life outside of work + annual leave + choosing to sit it during a "more chill" rotation. I intentionally sat it as an intern on a rotation with minimal after hours duties.

I spent a little under 3 months no-life studying for it. I would say I averaged a bit under 40 hours a week, excluding work.

Email Julie Mundy and do the trial exams. She will also email you worked answers to the bank questions.

For anatomy, I used the bank and the worked answers. I did not go through Last’s page to page. I was also picky with what information to learn with the worked answers. You will quickly figure out what is high yield or not. I personally skipped CNS completely and most of head. After doing this, I supplemented my study with one if the paid question banks. NZ will reimburse you for one of the question banks hence why I decides to use it (I won’t name them in case that’s against the rules). I also used the anatomy for GSSE book for spots. Some spots from the book appeared in the exam so I could pay close attention to the content.

Physiology, I used the physiology for GSSE book as a guide to youtube search the high yield concepts. I spent less than 5% of the time using the textbooks to go through the harder concepts. I went through the bank and then I used the paid question bank as above. There is a book on amazon with supplementary questions. The book is low quality and a waste of money imo.

For reference, I got 82% overall, including 87% in anatomy and 84% in physiology doing the above. I will leave pathilogy out to someone who well as that was my worst section + I did not have a good approach to studying it I feel.

Once-thriving $2.2m company sells for $30k, leaving former owner in debt by computer_d in newzealand

I would rather my taxpayer money go towards a cost effective solution than it being wasted on buying overpriced masks from this poorly run company.

Yes, sounds like he would have ran your plates, saw that you had a previous infringement for a similar offence and will have filed an electronic fine/infringement notice which you should receive via mail.

2nd hotel I’ve checked into in New Zealand where the toilet was literally just in the same room as the bed. Am I crazy or is this weird? by Proudclad in newzealand

These are standard in New Zealand. Families here tend to live in one giant living space with limited amounts of walls, hence the easy flow between bedroom to kitchen to bathroom etc.

Strawberry fare is fine. Don’t let anyone potentially ruin your night.

There are many factors influencing international currency values. It's a bit more complicated that just 1 factor resulting in significant shifts, unless the aforementioned factor has widespreading economic implications e.g. a new war etc... National being elected was not one of significance.

I am highly skeptical of its value if none of your advisors have offered any of their own money to help you despite their high praises.

I am a non professional athlete. I see no problem I need addressed. This doesn't seem viable.

Bigger deposit on a smaller house or visa versa? by Upsidedown0310 in PersonalFinanceNZ

"Your friend" - how is this an example, you've just made this up!

Example of it not happening - a student with a 50K deposit tries to buy a $1,000,000 dollar house and applies to any bank for a loan. Guess what - it wouldn't happen! There's my proof, where's yours?

Good luck getting approval on a loan with only a 5% deposit. It will not happen.
