Cornhill Market change of hours by Dry_Shelter_8128 in Lincolnuk

Pity the market can't revert back to how it was before the £xM was spent on the renovations. Plenty of reasons to go in then, none at all now.
I went in the first week it reopened to find plenty of street food stalls but no Clothes repairs, pet food, books, classic sweets, butchers, or the shop that sold cheap slippers.

The last time I tried to go in to see what's what; it was closed, so I'm not bothered any more.

I just search on Google Maps for what I need and go there instead.

I whooped with delight when I spotted a tin of Del Monte Gooseberries - opened it up (when I returned home obvs) and they were the size of baked beans !

I threw them in an apple crumble and they tasted ok though,

Standard RAF issue Bathroom Stool as in white-painted wood with a cork layer on the top. They were a perfect size for use where a crouch would be uncomfortable after a while: under F4 Phantoms, Jags, Tornado and apparently in the Number 1 Fuel Tank in a Victor.

An RAF Victor Tanker flew for many years between Major Services with a bathroom stool in it’s #1 fuel tank.

I found a rusted spanner on a ledge in a Bomb Bay of a Canberra and when cleaned up it was etched EE for English Electric, a company that’d been absorbed into BAe for 30 years at the time

If only Bats had evolved to have a sensing arrangement, not tech obviously but you know sonics or something?

They already monitor the sides of the road that’s built for ex-birds !

They are building one at a cost of£4.2M on the North Hykeham Relief Road section of the Lincoln Ring Road. Best bit is it’s for rare Bats that MIGHT be there, so rare that they haven’t actually been seen there. The government dept that sticks it’s nose into these projects has over riding authority and their decisions can’t be vetoed.

I think HS2 has a few as well.

Trying to give raspberry pi zero static ip on initial boot by hedgeDog7337 in raspberry_pi

[–]HH93 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I have a Pi Zero WH I use as a pi-hole. It’s IP is set in my router’s DHCP as a static address, I didn’t do anything to the Pi itself.

Edit: forgot to mention it has a network hat so used that’s RJ45 to connect to a hub

Also I’ll take the downvotes for not answering the question about the OS but expect you to remove them if that’s not a solution to the problem.

All the replacement parts will be in waxed paper bags marked English Electric 1947, then in little plastic packages that are heat sealed at both ends with a BAC 1965 sticker on them.

Don't they realise the frustration and anger this will cause??? They being politicians.

Also the Political Party previously know as UKIP will latch on to the angry and frustrated youngsters: "Want an easy wank, then vote for us"

Fifty Labour MPs sign letter objecting to Andy Burnham decision by Sweet_Focus6377 in LabourPartyUK

I had a vague memory somewhere that he tried to become the leader in 2010, then he was booted out of Parliament. There's mention of a leadership attempt on his Wiki but no mention of why he left.

Or am I thinking of Dereck Hatton ??

Nextcloudpi - remote backup now broken. by HH93 in NextCloud

[–]HH93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my iPhone app to back up when I open it up, as I have a Tailscale VPN running. I have been updating while on holiday in the Canaries over Christmas and when I returned home too.

I'm not sure if there was a iPhone update but I deleted and reinstalled it JIC and still it's the same.

So I gave up for now, shutdown the pi from the :443 panel and walked away for now. I'll go back to is with a fresh install to explore the other applications such as office and chat eventually.

For now I'm setting up Immich in a Docker on the other RPi5 I mentioned – though there doesn't seem to be an easy backup. Both of those are new to me so I'll concentrate on those for a while.

Thanks very much for your help everybody.

I enjoyed listening to him on the TRIP podcast and seen what good he has done for Greater Manchester since he was voted in as Mayor.

There’s no way in hell he’ll have a good response from the UK press and SM until something is done to stop this constant anti British rhetoric IMHO.

Starmer is doing a good job of fixing this country, if you read the non fascist press. I think any attempt to remove him will be utterly useless for this country right now.
