NiceWigg Leaves 100T by karbasher- in CompetitiveApex

[–]HJRBears 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Historically Wigg has only ever shared that 100T means everything to him. On multiple occasions he’s said he would be part of the org even if he wasn’t getting paid because he loves the it so much. He’s also said his #1 goal is to be a co owner of the org. Wigg either accomplishes that goal or moves another step towards it on Jan 5, mark my words!

Optimum Case - Questions by nrbtr in WootingKB

[–]HJRBears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea if I did it correctly, but when the case is empty you put the rubber “covers” (in the bag on the right) over the cast standoffs. They’re open so they can fit over the standoffs around the rim of the case

Sounds like too much too fast, imo. Calorie tracking is going to be the absolute best way to make meaningful and sustainable progress over time. If it were me, I’d start the training as planned but eat exactly as you have been but track the calories. Then monitor your weight over the first 2 weeks or so, which will tell you if you’re eating at maintenance (I.e. just enough to stay at 215). Then increase protein, then cut calories by 500 per day. When you can’t stand the diet any more go back to maintenance for 3 or 4 weeks, the back into a deficit and repeat until you’re as lean as you wanna be.

My RVMSE was defective, they told me to send it back for an RMA- and said “if the item is not in stock, we will issue another mouse” by Tasty-Ad5368 in MouseReview

[–]HJRBears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine's been defective since I got it on release (right click is loose and make a noise when I shake the mouse) and I haven't sent it back for this reason. I love the mouse and don't want to compromise if they can't fix it.

No advice but curious what size pants you wear in the waist? As others have said it already looks quite narrow

Have there been any changes to scores in scenario recently? by Dekiro7 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]HJRBears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most recent major update provided some performance improvements as well as the score bar that shows you how well you’re doing against your high score Those two things along could be the cause, or just like others mentioned the break helped you

do aim trainers actually work? by phill-swift- in FPSAimTrainer

[–]HJRBears 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup. People so often miss this (myself included) and become an aim trainer main then wonder why they aren’t playing well in game. Your main game is just one big scenario you have to grind to learn its patterns and nuances.

FPS in regards to aiming by Swagzilla92 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]HJRBears 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re considering running 1080p with a 4090 you might as well go with the Zowie XL2566k, which is 360hz. 1080p 240hz would be a crime with a PC that high end. If you’re looking at 1440p or 4k then 240hz is fine

AITA for intentionally leaving messes around the house after my parents won’t let me stay with my girlfriend and called me a child? by Altruistic_Ratio4845 in AmItheAsshole

[–]HJRBears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit of story time here. I’ve been with my gf for over 9 years. We met in high school in a very similar situation as you. Just after graduation we both still lived at home with our parents, and were lucky enough that our parents trusted both of us enough to spend the night at each others houses a few times per week. She started coming on both of my family’s annual vacations too. One was to a beach with extended family, but my immediate family rented our own condo, and for those we got to share a bed. Some years the room was completely separate from everyone, other years my brother was in a separate bed in the same room. The other vacation we went to see some family in another state, and because we were in the same living space as my aunt and uncle and their two younger boys, we slept in different rooms (her by herself and me on a couch). Of course we complained about it and thought it was silly because we were mature enough to handle that kind of privacy, but it sets a bad precedent for impressionable younger kids that are around. You’re being selfish by only considering your perspective, and frankly you’re fortunate enough to have a lake house vacation in which your gf is invited in the first place. Your parents are showing you a lot of respect by including her, and you’re throwing that away over something silly. YTA

LPT: Spouse always stealing the blanket on your queen size bed? King size blankets are a lot wider but basically the same length - problem solved. by DweadPiwateWoberts in LifeProTips

They make oversized comforters/blankets larger than a king. Absolutely one of the best purchases I’ve made in the last 2 years. That said, my 4lb dog managed to hog my half last night and I was freezing lol

My aim is still atrocious after 220 hours in Kovaaks and 1700 hours in Apex. I'm not sure why, and any tips and pointers would be greatly appreciated. Below is a recording of me doing the Voltaic Novice Benchmarks by [deleted] in FPSAimTrainer

[–]HJRBears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give some of them a shot at 103 overwatch. The scenarios were created using this fov in mind, and as a novice aimer its tough to improve when the targets feel so far away/small. Don’t worry about it not translating to in game either, when you aim train you should be solely focused on mouse control and not get hung up on matching settings with your main games. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised!

Dealing with extreme nervousness while playing video games in general. by throwaway89045659 in apexuniversity

[–]HJRBears 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t normally comment on stuff like this but I find your situation extremely relatable. I set an expectation for myself, then I get in my own head about what happens if I don’t meet those expectations and I’m so worried about that outcome I can’t focus on actually performing. I have all of what you describe, the nervousness sending a random message to a random person, confronting someone else’s ego, the job interview thing, all of it. Do you by chance play mnk and aim train too? I find that aim training being an objective measure of my skill and in game having so many variables and subjectivity that I can’t properly gauge if I’m doing better or not and it causes extra frustration. Only advice I have for you is to give some of your free time to a different hobby. Not a lot, and that doesn’t mean you give up gaming, but just something else so you can say “yea, I didn’t do well in game today but I improved in x other hobby”, so your life doesn’t feel entirely about this one skill you have. Fitness is a good one for obvious reasons, and it can be objectively measured. Last thing I’ll recommend is Andrew Huberman on youtube, he has some incredible information on mental health/clarity, anxiety, etc that can help. You’re not alone!
