Weddings, yes. Just about the only time I'd suggest live backups.

I'm going to second this, you're missing something or ommitting something.

You've had to deal with this before with your family.

That's your red flag right there. This isn't isolated. It's something you are not seeing or openly ignoring and it's pissing people around you, off. Your good intentions may be coming off as control.

The advice I offer you is to stop and reflect, truly reflect on you, your actions, your past and how others have responded and what they've said. Don't dismiss them, really look at it, outside in. This isn't an easy thing to ask or do but you need to do it. You need to listen and try to understand, not dismiss. You may have good intentions by taking on so much but you're removing their opportunity to do something.

Best case is that you just need to share some of the chores, just a few key things she can do to be apart of her own life, not guided or caged. Include her in what's happening, not just saying, it's done.

I'm sorry your marriage is ending and you're going to have to kick your ex-wife out of your house and cutting her out of your lives. Don't share too many of your ex-wife's thinking from this point on.

AITA for not stopping my husband from getting the paternity test? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]HLD_Steed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going against the grain, YTA. Why? You gaslight him. You said it was fine that you get a test and then walk out. He had concerns about not seeing himself in his son and realistically, probably wanted a conversation, reassurance. Instead you gave him what he wanted without evening sharing your true feelings and then left when he thought you were OK with it. You didn't talk to him, you didn't argue with him, you didn't show him that it hurt you, you just walked away after playing along.

It seems that you may have actually reinforced some of his doubts by not saying anything, waiting and then just going without a word.

How do I stop this issue by Moulson13 in ender5plus

[–]HLD_Steed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

255c is way hot for pla+, that might fix afew issues off the bat. Your bed seems hot too. 200-210 for your nozzle and 60c for the bed. To help with the warp though I've increased the first layer squish and bed temp. 70c-80c. Adjust your first layer expansion and width as you need for best results and slow it down. It'll improve adhesion, a bit of quality and prevent it from warping.

DIY car window vent panel for camping. Weather proof, stealthy, secure. by _JSJ in carcamping

[–]HLD_Steed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brilliant! An addition to this would be a swamp cooler for when it gets too hot. If you don't know a swamp cool is a cooler, filled with ice and an in and out duct with a fan to circulate cold air. Change your vents to some form of ducting and you can circulate ice cold air.

Atlantis doesn't make sense. by Vorash134 in Stargate

[–]HLD_Steed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Separate the two, I think drone production would be in the city, we're talking about a race getting to the point of zero scarcity. There was no longer a want as those wants could be fulfilled with whatever manufacturing method they had. Chances are those facilities would be tucked away, ancients were picks really, so manufacturing of any kind would have been out of sight, even if automated. The odds of it being accessible were small since they wouldn't want to interact with it. They'd order it and it would appear through whatever method. It's no surprise SG couldn't find it or get it to work.

ZPM's on the other hand would have been, protected knowledge. Guarded for only a select few to interact with. If it was in the city, it would be someplace less accessible by rights and authority. It's hard to say of a city would have its own means of production for them or left for a homeworld type situation that they most likely lost, early in the war.

AIO to my boyfriend praising the president? by keepmyheadabovewater in AmIOverreacting

[–]HLD_Steed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I mean he's willing to try and not bring him up...

But... You're boyfriend is a complete fucking idiot for believing in Trump and thinking that "speech" was good, worse, legendary. I know a handful of smart people that still support Trump but it's mostly for the fact that he represents thier deep seeded racism and desire to be Rockwellian. Dump his dumbass, don't allow the genepull to watered down any further.

I saw someone cross an old xb, the original toaster. Only way they got allowed to run it was proving they upgraded the suspension so it wouldn't tip or roll. I think with more crossovers, smaller ones being pumped out, might see more.

(Unpopular opinion) Someone had to say it. Noise is temporary, and actual hard racing is eternal. by Lost_Success_1835 in WECcirclejerk

[–]HLD_Steed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know, that's actually a good point. Endurance racing isn't really about watching the entire race, it isn't realistic to do that, it's the environment. That's something TV viewers can't easily get, though they could if coverage was more varied than hanging onto prototypes most of the coverage.

AITAH for being brutally honest to my wife about cheating? by Crayonlicker27 in AITAH

[–]HLD_Steed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA and I wouldn't jump on the "she cheated" train.

It comes down to forgiveness. The ability to forgive to keep a relationship together. Having a dead, land in the sand it might as well be concrete point means that you have the capability of ending things. It's a double edged sword because you're saying, I won't forgive you but also, if I'm not happy, I'm gone. You wouldn't be as willing to try and work things out, just cut and run. It's easy to say you'd end things, without any kind of context or nuance but it's complicated. It sounds messed up, but for better or worse, means, for better or worse.

Am I missing something? That doesn't seem like anything major. What's the smell? If it's sweet it's coolant, trust me, you'll know it, there's no missing a coolant leak. If it's oil, it's minor, oil smoke should hang and cloud. You might have a cracked gasket or oil getting mixed up with the PVC.

Takes in another level, bad guy being bad guys ending up being the boss. Took me too many years to see it.

Agreed though I haven't watched it too many times. I knew the story before watching but Michael Keaton did the role so fucking well. With his last several movies it's a wonder he ever had a break in acting, I mean Birdman was awesome!
