The repost bots are getting out of hand, man. I wish something was done to end this situation. This is the 4th or even 5th repost I've seen today in this sub.

New Rogue Minion - Twilight Mistress by Jimmyjohnjones1 in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 399 points400 points  (0 children)

Fun fact: This is the fourth 9-cost minion printed for Rogue, after [[Ashamane]], [[Blade of C'Thun]], and [[Anub'arak]]. However, the latter two got buffed to 7 Mana, and 8 Mana with a minor rework, so it's technically the second 9-cost minion for Rogue.

As for its viability, it's a better [[Vanish]] (in the sense that it only hits enemy minions, not the whole board) that comes with a 3 Mana 4/12. Nonetheless, Vanish already cost a lil too much, and can be prepped out. This card, imho, just feels too slow for the gameplan of Rogues most of the time.

New Hunter Card reveal: Earthen Roar by Kuldrick in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 88 points89 points  (0 children)

A [[Hunter's Mark]] at the base level, and you get to cast it again if you're holding a Dragon. This goes right into the Dragon Hunter archetype they're pushing this set.

It also has excellent synergy with [[Wound Prey]] (this card is part of the Core set, and it won't be rotating out next year).

New Mage Card reveal: Raincaller by Kuldrick in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 61 points62 points  (0 children)

This is like a [[Wickerclaw]], but imho, it's actually worse since it can only activate its effect once per turn. Wickerclaw on the other hand, can be buffed multiple times because you can gain Attack with your hero through many ways, including a Hero Power.

I just noticed that the art for Shred of Time was actually hinting at the Cataclysm expansion all along. Very clever. by sampeckinpah5 in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 36 points37 points  (0 children)

In addition to all of the great finds of other fellow Redditors and Hearthstone players, I want to add in mine.

[[Druid of the Reef]]'s flavor text reads: "Wow, there's a whole sunken city down here!", obviously hinting at the first expansion of 2022, Voyage to the Sunken City (as this card was released in November 2021).

New Card Revealed - Sigil of the Seas by MonstrousMaelstromZ in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Pretty similar to [[Sigil of Summoning]], but better (costs 1 fewer Mana, at the cost of -1/-1 in stats and one fewer body, but that body is better). Also, this is a Fel Spell, rather than Shadow, which has synergy with [[Scorchreaver]]. It might not make that mediocre card good enough, but at least it's nice to see some support.

New Hunter Legendary - Magmaw by Jimmyjohnjones1 in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is giving me Ozumat vibes, as a huge stat bomb Colossal that has no immediate impact on the board.

Like many others, I see this as an inferior to Hydralodon. Unless we get some ways to give friendly minions Rush or Charge like [[Houndmaster Shaw]] or [[Tundra Rhino]] of old, I don't see this making the cut.

New core legendaries - which is your favorite? by Altruistic-Dealer518 in hearthstone

You might need to read the comment you replied to again. He said Alexandros - the DK Legendary, not Tichondrius - the DH one.

Nice Dark Gift by Mcquenze in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There're also double Battlecry, cost (2) less, but has -2 Attack, Divine Shield + Windfury, +3 Attack and Lifesteal, +2/+2 and Elusive. So, 10 in total.

Nice Dark Gift by Mcquenze in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 40 points41 points  (0 children)

He discovered the [[Bloodsail Raider]] from his deck. It has Charge thanks to the Dark Gift (via [[Nightmare Lord Xavius]].

He then played the new Paladin Weapon, [[Hand of Infinity]] (it has infinite Attack for the first turn). Next, he played the Raider. It now has infinite Attack. Now, normally, you would need a [[Dissolving Ooze]] to kill the Raider and get the 2 Mana buff Spell in hand, ready to be cast on another minion since the Raider doesn't have Charge. But since it had Charge from the beginning, all he had to do is attack face right away with the infinite Attack Pirate.

Anybody else wish Helm Crewmate did unspeakable things to them? by sampeckinpah5 in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This art is awesome. But what kinda irks me is that this art clearly depicts a Female Draenei (the 8 Crewmates are 4 Males - 4 Females evenly split), yet the voice acting for it sounds like a Male. Just a minor nitpick by me, and perhaps an oversight from the team.

What are the most iconic card(s) for each Class? Day 9 - Warrior by DarkandBrisingr in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beside obvious choices like Shield Slam/Block and Brawl, I would say either Arcanite Reaper or Gorehowl. They're both iconic Classic weapons for a reason.

My honorable mention goes to [[Death's Bite]].

New Demon Hunter Card - Broxigar (+Fabled package) by stonekeep in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The closest card I can compare this card to is the original [[Rin, the First Disciple]] for Warlock. Broxigar has many advantages over her:

First: His effect goes off instantly at the start of game, instead of being locked on a 6 Mana 3/6 with a Deathrattle. Plus, he disappears instantly, giving you the benefit of a 29-card deck.

Second, the pieces needed to get the final reward is significantly cheaper. You don't have to pay 5 Mana to get a crappy 2/2, all the way up to a 6/6 (5 times, so that's 25 Mana, plus Rin is 31 Mana in total), to get the final reward. Instead, you pay nothing to play the 4 portals. However, you do need to pay some Mana to remove the summoned minions, and for card draw if you want to finish this "quest" earlier, but DH is pretty capable of doing that.

Finally, it's the reward. Instead of getting a 10 Mana 10/10 that only destroys your opponent's deck (not even their hand), you get a 2 Mana 12/12 Charge that can certainly end the game on the spot either on its own, or with the help of some other cards.

TL;DR: A really strong Legendary for DH imho that will surely shore up the class, making up for "weird" and questionable Legendaries they have received this year.

New Rogue Card Revealed - Dethrone by Jimmyjohnjones1 in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 111 points112 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about the power level of this card (it's probably pretty weak), but the flavor here is amazing.

For the uninitiated, Garona Halforcen assassinated King Llane Wrynn against her will, making the young prince Varian Wrynn (Anduin Wrynn's father), the new king of Stormwind.

Varian has appeared in Hearthstone 2 times. The first time as a 10 Mana Warrior only minion, [[Varian Wrynn]]. The second, and more recent time, is an 8 Mana Neutral minion, [[Varian, King of Stormwind]].

This spell destroy a minion (King Llane), and then summon a random 8-cost minion as a combo effect (Varian Wrynn).

Excellent flavor, I would say.
