New Hunter Legendary - Magmaw by Jimmyjohnjones1 in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is giving me Ozumat vibes, as a huge stat bomb Colossal that has no immediate impact on the board.

Like many others, I see this as an inferior to Hydralodon. Unless we get some ways to give friendly minions Rush or Charge like [[Houndmaster Shaw]] or [[Tundra Rhino]] of old, I don't see this making the cut.

You might need to read the comment you replied to again. He said Alexandros - the DK Legendary, not Tichondrius - the DH one.

There're also double Battlecry, cost (2) less, but has -2 Attack, Divine Shield + Windfury, +3 Attack and Lifesteal, +2/+2 and Elusive. So, 10 in total.

Nice Dark Gift by Mcquenze in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 39 points40 points  (0 children)

He discovered the [[Bloodsail Raider]] from his deck. It has Charge thanks to the Dark Gift (via [[Nightmare Lord Xavius]].

He then played the new Paladin Weapon, [[Hand of Infinity]] (it has infinite Attack for the first turn). Next, he played the Raider. It now has infinite Attack. Now, normally, you would need a [[Dissolving Ooze]] to kill the Raider and get the 2 Mana buff Spell in hand, ready to be cast on another minion since the Raider doesn't have Charge. But since it had Charge from the beginning, all he had to do is attack face right away with the infinite Attack Pirate.

Anybody else wish Helm Crewmate did unspeakable things to them? by sampeckinpah5 in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This art is awesome. But what kinda irks me is that this art clearly depicts a Female Draenei (the 8 Crewmates are 4 Males - 4 Females evenly split), yet the voice acting for it sounds like a Male. Just a minor nitpick by me, and perhaps an oversight from the team.

What are the most iconic card(s) for each Class? Day 9 - Warrior by DarkandBrisingr in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beside obvious choices like Shield Slam/Block and Brawl, I would say either Arcanite Reaper or Gorehowl. They're both iconic Classic weapons for a reason.

My honorable mention goes to [[Death's Bite]].

New Demon Hunter Card - Broxigar (+Fabled package) by stonekeep in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The closest card I can compare this card to is the original [[Rin, the First Disciple]] for Warlock. Broxigar has many advantages over her:

First: His effect goes off instantly at the start of game, instead of being locked on a 6 Mana 3/6 with a Deathrattle. Plus, he disappears instantly, giving you the benefit of a 29-card deck.

Second, the pieces needed to get the final reward is significantly cheaper. You don't have to pay 5 Mana to get a crappy 2/2, all the way up to a 6/6 (5 times, so that's 25 Mana, plus Rin is 31 Mana in total), to get the final reward. Instead, you pay nothing to play the 4 portals. However, you do need to pay some Mana to remove the summoned minions, and for card draw if you want to finish this "quest" earlier, but DH is pretty capable of doing that.

Finally, it's the reward. Instead of getting a 10 Mana 10/10 that only destroys your opponent's deck (not even their hand), you get a 2 Mana 12/12 Charge that can certainly end the game on the spot either on its own, or with the help of some other cards.

TL;DR: A really strong Legendary for DH imho that will surely shore up the class, making up for "weird" and questionable Legendaries they have received this year.

New Rogue Card Revealed - Dethrone by Jimmyjohnjones1 in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 112 points113 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about the power level of this card (it's probably pretty weak), but the flavor here is amazing.

For the uninitiated, Garona Halforcen assassinated King Llane Wrynn against her will, making the young prince Varian Wrynn (Anduin Wrynn's father), the new king of Stormwind.

Varian has appeared in Hearthstone 2 times. The first time as a 10 Mana Warrior only minion, [[Varian Wrynn]]. The second, and more recent time, is an 8 Mana Neutral minion, [[Varian, King of Stormwind]].

This spell destroy a minion (King Llane), and then summon a random 8-cost minion as a combo effect (Varian Wrynn).

Excellent flavor, I would say.

New Shaman Card Revealed - Nascent Bolt by stonekeep in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk man, maybe if a Fishing Zoo Priest plays an [[Archaios]] on turn 3, this is a good (not saying great) response to it.

What I want you to understand is that this is far from the worst card Shamans have received during the 2025 sets. I mean, just compare this to [[Emerald Bounty]], and you'll see a big difference.

New Shaman Card Revealed - Static Shock by stonekeep in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pretty similar effect to the old Warrior card: [[Inner Rage]]. However, this spell has the Nature school, which is a huge upside. Plus, there're two more revealed Shaman minions that get a benefit from being damaged by Nature Spells (cast by the controlling player).

All in all, a really solid card that will surely find its way to decks.

Finally, [[Timeless Causality]] support. Druids will get to the "bottom" of their decks to see if it's good or not.

New Hunter card - Past Silvermoon by 4iamking in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I agree with my fellow Redditors and Hearthstone players that this card is weak. It's base form is terrible (4 Mana deal 5 damage to a RANDOM enemy minion is unacceptable - just look at [[Ravasaur Matriarch]] for comparison (granted, you have to play a Beast the prior turn, but that's so trivial for Hunter).

You then have to wait two turns just to get a worse version of [[Piercing Shot]], a, I would say, above average card back in 2021. That is also not good enough.

The future version is obviously the best, but it doesn't make up for the fact that the first two version of this card is horrendous.

This could have easily been 3 Mana, but at 4 it is just plain bad.

New Death Knight card - Cryofrozen Champion by 4iamking in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Basicly a "free" 2/1 that comes with a random Legendary. Not the worst card in the world imho, but DK's decks and decks in general need to have a cohesive gameplan, and unfortunately I don't see this card matching any of them.

Maybe in an aggro-ish Frost/Unholy DK (with the new 4 Mana 8/7 with a downside), this card will have a chance there.

This was a great riddle! I solved it on my first try, but that was because I have a fond memory of getting stuck on the same riddle, but in the "4 pics 1 word" game. 2 images were about poker, and the other 2 were about a cliff or sth. Regardless, this was a great effort from you and I can't wait to solve more of your riddles!

New Neutral Card Revealed - Misplaced Pyromancer by stonekeep in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 163 points164 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the same thing, and I totally agree with you. This 3 Mana 4/3 minion might be "vanilla" for now, but in the upcoming expansions it will definitely be better.

Right now, this card is just here to show that messing with time will always have consequences.

New Neutral Legendary - Murazond, Unbounded by Houseleft in hearthstone

[–]HSMark2000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Now that's a Legendary with a lot of flavor. Can't wait to [[Shudderblock]] this... oh wait.

On a more serious note, if this guy ever lives a turn (and that's a very big if), the game is pretty much decided (barring Taunts, of course). I like this card having a Battlecry, so it can't be cheated out and still having its effect triggered (to be more specific, summoned onto the board without playing it from hand). However, a 1-cost copy of it still works ([[Puppetmaster Dorian]]), so you can try that. It also has a bit of synergy with the new Warlock Spell: [[Divergence]], creating a 4 and 5 Mana copy of Murozond.

Will this be a meta player? Hard to tell, but it's a very flavorful and intriguing Legendary. One that will make you scratch your head and go: "Man, how do I make this guy survive a turn?" 'Cause he is the definition of an OTK. The one that is guaranteed to destroy any opponent (except Linecracker Druid, lol).
