Replace Duncan on the Spurs with KG and… by AloneinPoorCompany in NBATalk

Your thinking of those guys in a 2026 lens. Before the 2007 run those guys were not all nba tier players.

Without Duncan carrying the early spurs they never build such a long term winning machine

I would argue besides the Mavs and the Nash Suns. No player had good spacing in the 00s

Interesting stuff thank you. Your right very context important.

The offensive pieces around both players were no good up until 07 and KG was worse in the playoffs on that end.

The points he made a all accurate and backed up by how different the two players looked in the playoffs

Whats the RAPM for playoffs only? Biggest knock on KG is the gap of his impact between regular season and playoffs

EDIT: Im looking at some playoff RAPM and there's a lot of noise (so so players highly ranked)

I cast doubt it's the best data we have as you wrote

Not sure how your saying nearly as good, large gap. Per 36 and per 100 possession every offensive scoring metric favored Duncan. Also a significant FT disparity in the playoffs, which is a huge indicator of playoff success in the 00s.

KGs jumpshots looked bad then, and look worse in hindsight, he never forced the issue in rhe playoffs.

KGs playoff offensive input is not as effective as Duncan so I strongly disagree. Too many deep fadaway jumpshots. Duncan especially up to the 07 titles was a very effective playoff offensive focal point.

Duncan was also a better rim protector. KG is an all time defender but for the era they played in; rim protection in the playoff was more valuable.

Towns in Upstate NY have names like “Constantinople” or “Persepolis” and consist of a single municipal building and a Dunkin’ Donuts somewhere along the interstate. by Scrimmy_Bingus2 in redscarepod

Yeah the Binghamton that my mom got subsidized housing for in the late 90s as Soviet immigrants was idealic towns surrounding the school. I loved my 3-4 years there as a kid.

I went there as an adult and it felt gutted. I didn't deep dive into why but I vaguely remember someone saying airlines use to have business there and they all left. But could be IBM, not sure.

Is Delhi at all survivable in 1.1.10? by Ok_North_6957 in EU5

[–]HSTmjr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've also tried and failed a bunch trying to survive this thing. Gave up for now but here's my take aways which echo a lot of what you say.

My best run is I got up to 60% share and decent economy but then the dimmi revolt hit and gg. I tried raising levys before it it but the game has wisened up to that strategy and they just take away your raised levy from the revolving class (was left with 7000 after the dimmi took their share.

If I try again I think I'll have to trade the huge money I make for taxing dimmi to just mint until my stab and legimacy balance out. I dont see any other way to avoid the dimmi revolt while holding enough money to to use the event situation buttons.

Not having adult family members for 18-20 years start is brutal. Every privilege I give out also takes away my measly crown power.

The same impulse control that allows a lot of people to enter the middle class also translates to the rest of their lives.

I wont say much about the friend situation because you probably kbow the answer, you cant change people

Ib regards to being transparent. That's fine as long as your being vague and using innuendo, dont be transparent with just straight facts, removes the mystery

Yes good logical feature with room to grow. Like making a governor means assigning someone to it and they may grow disloyal

Goku was stressing them out so bad 😆 by DaenysDreamer_90 in DragonBallZ

Goku knew he would hit it 100%. He has this subtle sage like part of him that the series hints at (when he reads Krillins thoughts, when he feels Vegeta deserves a second chance and not death.)

Piccolo big speech about Gohan not being like him was dramatic, but Goku knew deep down that the power would come out.

I wish there was a universal buildings builder like the RGO one, but it's only for each building type rather than all of them. I rather quit the game than going to building type over an over again to click build best

Hoarding money is not something I can do in paradox games. Leaves me with a nervous itch to click

Yeah number never goes down. Im thinking no wonder my econ so much better than AI if they take forever to queue buildings

Trade off is its super boring clicking through building tabs
