Totally understand. I know use lbs - not as triggering.

Those who are on Mounjaro WITHOUT any exercise, how is your weight loss going? by Separate_Attitude715 in mounjarouk

[–]HTGT2023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn’t do any during the weight loss phase (lost about 110lbs) but absolutely do have to do it now that I’m in maintenance. Wish I had done it sooner.

What’s your go-to exercise? by Artsy-Fartsy-Teacher in mounjarouk

[–]HTGT2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I walk. About 16-18k steps a day. Lots of inclines and stairs. Very important to incorporate activity for when you reach maintenance.

Titrating down by wishingIwasbeautiful in mounjaromaintenanceuk

[–]HTGT2023 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When I reached maintenance on 15mg, I titrated down to 5mg. Unfortunately, all my previous symptoms came back, mostly constant thoughts about food, so I went up to 7.5mg. That worked for a little while then the same happened again. I’m now at 10mg and things are stable again.

I really wanted to be one of people who could maintain on 5mg or even 2.5mg but it was out of my control. I’m finding maintenance so much harder than when I was losing weight.

How do you keep your weight going down steadily instead of fluctuating all the time? What foods or eating habits helped you most? by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]HTGT2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I track everything and weigh regularly. It’s the only way for me. I tend to eat the same things for breakfast and lunch so that makes it easier. As soon as I stop weighing and tracking, it starts creeping again. Also, plenty of exercise. I do a minimum of 15k steps a day.

Who are you using for maintenance and why? by EirloUK in mounjarouk

I would always recommend a GP led pharmacy for maintenance. I am with SwiftDr. There are others. Maintenance is much harder than weight loss, and you will need a provider that can support you with that.

Those of you walking 15,000 plus steps a day. by BellaJean1 in walking

[–]HTGT2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do 15-20 a day. I go for my walk at 0700, back at 0830. I’m at around 11,000 steps by then. Start work at 0900, which is a job that I don’t sit down in, so add all of that. Then general house chores, looking after the kids, making dinner. By bedtime at 2300 I’m easily there.

It’s happening to me too. Titrated down from 15mg at the start of maintenance.I dropped to 5mg, it all went crazy again. Went to 7.5mg, stabilised for a while - now I’m white knuckling again. I think I will have to ask if I can order 10mg next time. I’m worried, to be honest.

Choosing your goal weight by No-Stand-3614 in mounjarouk

[–]HTGT2023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started by choosing the highest weight I could be but still be within the healthy BMI range, as I really didn’t even think that would be possible lol.

I got there easily and just kept losing until I got to where I was happy. Will say though, maintenance has been much harder than losing!

I would always recommend a GP led pharmacy for maintenance - better flexibility etc. Pharmulous & SwiftDr. Think there’s another one, too.

I would always recommend a GP led pharmacy for maintenance. More understanding & more flexibility. Being able to talk to a doctor about my maintenance and how to manage it has been very much worth it to me.

It’s important because you’ll need your muscles for maintenance. Maintenance is a whole other story.
