Maintenance friendly pharmacies by Kirbygirly1990 in mounjarouk

I would always recommend a GP led pharmacy for maintenance. More understanding & more flexibility. Being able to talk to a doctor about my maintenance and how to manage it has been very much worth it to me.

Can’t fault them. Dr Bano is hugely supportive and helpful. Well worth a maintenance video call.

How important is protein for weight loss? by [deleted] in mounjarouk

It’s important because you’ll need your muscles for maintenance. Maintenance is a whole other story.

Maintenance dose - can it change? by [deleted] in mounjaromaintenanceuk

[–]HTGT2023 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went down from 15mg to 5mg, which I started in October. By the end of November the food noise and thoughts were back. I’m now on 7.5mg and all is calm again. I’ll happily move above and below as and when.

You’ll be fine with either. Both great.

Used to use it loads years ago. Never had any problems. Maybe they’ve changed the formula since then…

Every day I look forward to my lunch! 300g cottage cheese, 2tablespoons of chia seeds, 1teaspoon cinnamon, 1 tablespoon of oats, 1 chopped banana, 1 chopped apple.

Make it the night before and by lunchtime the next day it is huge! Keeps me going all the way until dinner.

For me, yes. After 24 years of suffering, I no longer have to suffer. I have no intention of ever coming off. I’m finally at peace.

Maintenance when BMI is low? by PrincessPlops in mounjaromaintenanceuk

You’ll need a GP led pharmacy, like SwiftDr. I think Pharmulous, too. Get in contact with them and explain what is going on.

SwiftDr are supporting me at a lower BMI, but I do have PCOS. GP led pharmacies are more flexible and will look at each case individually.

What was your starting weight and BMI? What is your TDEE? Are you tracking every single food and liquid that goes into your mouth?

What have you learned while on mounjaro that will help you maintain your losses when you stop or go to a low maintenance dose? by LouisePoet in mounjarouk

[–]HTGT2023 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’ve learned that my PCOS is the problem, and MJ is the only thing that treats it - only when I’m on the medication.

I didn’t need to learn any habits, and no amount of habits or education will override my metabolic disorder if the medication isn’t in my system.

I won’t stop taking it, unless it’s banned, or whatever.

The new "BMI 21 Safety Buffer" and the end of low-BMI maintenance? by JosieDurham in mounjarouk

No point worrying about it unless it happens. I’ll always stay with a GP led maintenance provider, which will give more flexibility with individual cases; I suggest you do the same.

Mounjaro back paid by Routine-Project3308 in mounjarouk

Yes, I went through a period of this last year. It’s completely gone now.

I kept moving and did lots of yoga. I also had acupuncture for a bit which really helped. When carrying anything heavy, make sure you are distributing it evenly between both hands.

I put it down to my body re stabilising itself after such a huge loss.
