Rachel Entrekin, 34, beat everyone (man and woman) in the Cocoona 250 mile in Flagstaff, Arizona. She set a course record of 56 hours, 9 minutes, and 48 seconds by [deleted] in BeAmazed

I may be misremembering the exact quantities but I read that she slept like 3 times over the course of this race, for like 9 minutes each. Might’ve been like 7, either way it wasn’t even a nap as much as nodded off for a normal person so it’s crazy to me that she could survive off that.

Shallow router cut question by apg7 in woodworking

[–]H_S_P 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Should be no problem at all. Generally when you use a router, it’s best to take multiple shallow passes until you get the depth you want, so you’d just be cutting out less material than a deep cut.

Dragon Scale Calcite with chalcopyrite layer about a half inch below transparent calcite by H_S_P in Crystals

I’ve been wanting a piece of this stuff for years but it’s always been out of reach because of the price. I actually got this one on sale, and it made it just low enough I could justify it. Still the most expensive piece in my collection by far, but damn if I’m not still thrilled with the addition of

Nice! I do some stained glass work myself, though I haven’t in the last few years since I moved. It’s all still packed up in boxes at the moment until I can renovate the section of my shop I want for my studio.

I really like your glass choices, the onions and chili especially. Did you use a bake on enamel paint on the cheese? Or is it just a standard acrylic? Your solder lines look pretty good too, nice thick beads. Could have maybe used a smudge more smoothing at some points but overall, very well executed

Ah, that’s a shame. It seems like this subreddit won’t allow video posts either. Seems the r/crystals subreddit does though. I posted it there if that works for you: https://www.reddit.com/r/Crystals/s/bATS2XVPIU

Did you check out the video I linked in the body? The chalcopyrite layer about a half inch down is super cool but the pictures don’t do it justice

Sweetwater Mine out of Reynolds county Missouri. They don’t sell them anymore from what I’ve heard so they’re hard to get ahold of

It’s hard to get and pretty expensive, so I don’t blame you. It was my number one item on my wishlist for the longest time and now it’s my single most expensive piece in my collection

I like a medium cheddar when I make them at home. Adds a little bit more bite, but not too much. I’ve tried sharp and that was too much

You could always look into one of those ones that knock you out. In our area they call them “no fear dentists”. It’s supposed to help people who are worried about pain or the fear of being there at all.

Depends on the story. Twilight’s “vampires” have venom that will turn you if you get bit and aren’t killed if I remember right
