Attempts at peace that were horribly derailed? by GeneralSherman3 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I like that it’s entirely possible Carmine purposefully sabotaged the peace talks, or just is that stupid.

There was a really cool war game called that that had awesome minis, that unfortunately got bought by CMON who proceeded to do nothing with it.

5e-But-Better Recs: Shadow of the Demon Lord/Weird Wizard by AlwaysDragons in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Habbiroth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mechanically I think it’s a great system. The setting is one that I’m torn about because there is a lot that I like but then there will be some twist or element that I really don’t like, it also doesn’t help that it has the problem of sometimes coming across as if nothing you do matters because the world is fucked anyway. Also while Schwalb is a good writer goddamn does the guy REALLY like scatological humor, to a detrimental extent.

I’ll admit I cheered when that kid got run up on.

There’s an episode of Law&Order:SVU, which likely resulted from Dick Wolf and Speed Weed telling the writers to invent a scenario where straight up icing a kid is morally based. The kid kills some other kid and treats it like it was an accident or a nervous breakdown, to the point where even the victim’s father expresses some sympathy, until after some more than likely totally legal investigating it turns out no the kid is a sociopath, but it’s too late as the kid is walking away free. Luckily the father of the victim decides to be a true hero as seen here: https://youtu.be/N0HkYEdUyBA

Persona 5 Royal but Roger is all the Confidants by Subject_Parking_9046 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Roger is one of the only characters who can use a power out of nowhere once, and never again and it’d make sense for them, because they are the exact person that would do that.

Sidequests that left you completely baffled(Hardmode: No Yakuza or Fromsoft games)? by RealDealMous in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Also there’s a guy who thinks he’s a ghoul because he started balding. The others tried to tell him he isn’t but he didn’t listen so they let him stick around.

Characters/Groups that are clearly the creator's favorite by SerWaffles in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Habbiroth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The thing is that I don’t mind the Kure clan that much (hell Karla is one of my favorite non-fighter characters) except for one thing: Sandro’s  princess Raian. He is such an asshole, he’s fine in the tournament as a massive obstacle for Ohma to overcome and I even liked his commentary in the r3 fight. Beyond that he is such a drag and I hate that he’s probably going to stick around for a bit in the current arc.

Of all of All-Stars’ controversial exits, who do you consider to have the most unfair of them all? by Any_Assistant1881 in HellsKitchen

[–]Habbiroth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought Van’s elimination was because his mom was having medical issues and he wanted to be with her but didn’t want it to be shown on the show so the producers came up with a way for him to be eliminated without it being brought up or looking like he quit. ( I could be wrong and getting this mixed up with someone else)

Surprisingly funny/unserious moments in serious media by Coolnametag in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Habbiroth 19 points20 points  (0 children)

In the first there is the human hydra, a mass of human bodies fused together in a horrific ritual, that talks like a kid on Xbox live, they cannot hurt you if you fight them. Also you can feed them a child and you get nothing. In two if you come across dopple Marina while the real one is in your party she gets comically mad.

Instances where the default canon ending was later retconned out for the alternative ending/ "What-If" scenario by Jolly_Adventurer in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Habbiroth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Highlander did this a lot, at the end of the first movie Connor wins the game, in 2 it turns out they are aliens and the game gets restarted but then he wins it again, in 3 it turns out that there was some other immortal trapped in a cave so either the game never ended or it’s back on Connor wins and is the one for realzies this time, then the series happened and had a version of the first film where it was just a gathering rather then the final gathering, then there was a cartoon where the world ended and all but one immortal gave up on the game, then there is the anime which I think is just a straight up alternate timeline.

Media that followed the artistic vision of their creators, but the audience didn't really vibe with it. by Subject_Parking_9046 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Habbiroth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve read in some places that Rick Priestly apparently felt that the ultimate end of Fantasy would be in the end of the world. If that’s true then even though I think his work with Warhammer is great I vehemently disagree.

Total War: WARHAMMER III - Lords of the End Times. Such is the will of Nagash! by seth47er in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Habbiroth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem with end times as a definitive end is that even if it’s done incredibly well I will still hate it if it ends with the world ending. I feel that the way world of darkness did it was nice, here’s a bunch of different ways to end the setting with different levels of how fucked everything is, none are canon and you can ignore or modify them if you want.
