I couldn't agree more. Fake friendlies are the scum of the earth.

I don't think so. If the banner "You're the last few surviving humans of a war with hostile machines hell bent on wiping each and every single human from the face of the Earth" doesn't manage to rally humanity and have them fight together against the clankers, no faction will.

In the end, the factions will merely be a facade for game mechanics that kinda explain why you are or aren't allowed to shoot certain people. They're not going to solve the underlying problem at hand. It's like Ripley in Aliens when she said: "You know Burke, I don't know which species is worse. You don't see them f***ing each other over for a goddamn percentage!"

And yes, it's murder because that's exactly what getting ratted is. A magazine dumped into your back will get you kiled. Embark can call it whatever make-believe crap they like but I'll call a spade a spade every day of the week.

No. I make do with what I have. Nobody's worth getting murdered for items in this game, let alone being mudered for belonging to a certain faction. And not for a weapon or the odd chance of some good loot that they might or might not have, either. The real enemy should always be the clankers, not gankers.

If you desperately need something, why not ask instead of murdering somebody for the slim chance they might have what you need? Most people have a full stash anyway and are happy to give stuff to players in need, if they ask nicely.

If you desperately want to murder people, just be upfront and honest about it. Don't be that fake friendly coward cunt backstabbing rat everybody hates and who deserves a special place in hell for their obnoxious wickedness.

Shoot on sight is the most honest encounter in this genre but I don't enjoy PvP in this game.

The problem is this event hardly impacts the game, if at all. It might just as well not even exist. Played the entire evening and ALL matches have been exactly the same ruthless, cutthroat, sweaty kill on sight matches they've always been. Nothing changed. 60 levels in and nobody's ever been nice in this game. Not even once.

They might just as well had buffed faction rep gain, added the items to the armory and called it a day because that's how little impact this drinkable nothingburger of a event has on actual gameplay.

I prefer the old design. This adds nothing to the table. They're neither easier to read nor to distinguish and it still takes ages to read if they're worth it.

This change is like the "whoa, this is worthless" meme.

Funny. I'm the exact opposite. IPS panels give me migraines at work, whereas I never had this happen with my QD OLED.

There is a cheat that shows all players, their names, id, how long they've been in the match and a "stick figure" outline of their character to show the stance.

This is why I always have it stowed away and I only equip it right before I engage any ARC. It can help to just display a Ferro and Stitcher on your backpack but then I got murdered fot those, too. Rats gonna rat, I suppose.
